your supose to be a bully? Are you serous? I alway found you more of a joke then any thing. If people find you a bully then that just funny. You could not scare or worry a fly.
also ytou go out of your way to attack people? Thats lame..........maybe you deserve it then...........oh well what ever floats you boat you little bully you.
I still feel that I had Blair Wind beaten, but it's the risk you take of leaving the judgment up for public consumption, particularly the "attention to detail" deficient members of the public. If a 50 foot organic granite giant slams into you (or into the ground near you), at mach 10+, you're not getting up, and any attack you aim at it as it's coming at you (considering the power levels brought to bear in that tournament, and particularly that match) is not going to have any effect due to the mass and velocity. It's simple physics (not to mention that the status at which Monolith was copied by Duplicate Boy , and at what point in the contest, was questionable).
But anyway, after that, being a combatant in these tournaments hasn't been high up on my priorities list. I'm more inclined to be a voice of reason than to have to leave my arguments up to someone who isn't informed to judge or click on the poll, so I've chosen to judge myself as of late. I like that capacity more because I can ensure that the people in the tournaments get at least one informed verdict on their argument's merits and aren't victims of ADD, board popular opinion, and hyperbole.
I went against my better judgment recently and got a clear reminder of why I'd made that decision in the first place.
Yeah, but they aren't all like that. And the move to judges-only voting means that there's more validity in the results. So we're improving...even though the recent debacle suggests otherwise.
Sure sometimes, but there's no way to completely remove subjectivity.
Heck, leonidas wanted Scoob and I to win the last tourney (with nothing personal against the other team of BW/DC) but he voted against us because he legitimately thought we wouldn't win the fight.
So the system works at least some of the time, and likely the vast majority. After all, we're not all spamtastically cancerous posters who have superiority complexes toward the forum ( ).
Because I don't have a better place to "store" this info right now:
I'm active in the signature community and felt like cataloguing their past competitions/tourneys. I'll be randomly editing this post as I encounter more links and winners.
So we have a new tourney going on. And good luck to all. The vets are there in force, but it's always nice to see underdogs pull through.
The winner will once again be immortalized here in the thread on Page 1, so prepare your acceptance speeches now.

I also just decided what my favorite part of last tourney was. There was lots of cool things: Strategizing (ad nauseum) with Scoob, going through every character (ever!) for possible draft picks...80% of whom I've forgotten, actually debating, having pre-battle writeups that pwned our opponents, etc.
But my favorite was seeing BW and DC confer with each before they so much as breathed, let alone posted in a match. But for all of our planning, after the initial writeup we just kinda did our own thing. And 3-4 times I'd say something like "well, if we're making a ruling on {insert rule}, Scoob and I vote {insert opinion}". Then half a day later, Scoob would be like "Wtf?! No we don't!" Or vice versa. To observers, it was like we had no idea what was going on (maybe we didn't.... ). The difference in styles amused the hell out of me.
By the way I remember that me and BW used the same style him and DC used. It almost got us into trouble because one of us removed a word from a quote on accident and leo/khan jumped down our throats on it
Yeah... all of a sudden I just remembered this thread and was like "Whoah, there's been a new Tounrey! That I actually did good debating in! I need to bump that thread!"
