So you think the government should help them out, but in what way? Are you talking paying for food and clothes or are you talking about gertting the mother a descent job and paying for the kids private school education?

I was thinking primarily financially--with food, clothes, medical bills, etc. Of course, this doesn't necessarily fall on the government's shoulders, but it could be private organizations and stuff.

i have my opinions on abortion, but i dare not voice them again here. as far as helping her through the pregnancy, she should have kept her legs closed. or used birth control.

A woman doesn't have the obligation to carry a foetus to full term. IF she has the abortion early, she is doing nothing wrong. The Foetus may be alive, but it is not sentient in the first 3 months of development. It's still a cluster of cells.
Now, if she has a late abortion, like Partial Birth Abortion or nearby, then she is killing a sentient life. The situation is rather different as a foetus before birth already has its brain, vital organs, and nerves developed.
I am not arguing right or wrong.....that's a whole other can of worms.
What I am stating is that Partial Birth Abortion is the closest thing to murder. The foetus knows what you are doing to it, by this stage it can feel pain. Do you know how Partial Birth Abortions were performed ? It's a torturous death, and quite pointless as the child would have been born just a few days/weeks later.
You must have no problem with people who torture thier pets then... "It's thier pet....they can do whatever they want to it"
It's pretty absurd that you only define the life of the foetus as valid once it is birthed out the Vaginal canal....so premature birthed babies mean nothing to you ? You'd just as easily allow a premature baby's death and suffering ?
Not at all. I really have no idea what you meant by bringing AIDS into the conversation. I understand it was a joke, but I don't get it.
But my point is that I can't see why you would feel the way you do. I can't figure out why a completely rational person would vote to force a woman to endure pregnancy (and it is enduring.) after being raped, and then expect her to go on a welfare/foodstamps type program of assisted living so the government or charity can raise the child. God's certainly not that petty, why should we be? Just get the damn thing aborted and be done with it.

Depends how you define torture doesn't it? To some, just killing it is torture.
I generally value other animals more than a value humans, but no, that's not what I'm saying at all.
I'm not saying there aren't less favourable ways of having an "abortion", some can indeed be pretty gruesome, but it's none of my business. If it's done quickly, then I see no problem with it.
I have the ability to detach myself from things that aren't my business and really do not matter to me.
It's not absurd, you just like babies.
And then to have the additional nerve to have said "It's not ruining her life.".
