ok, the book isn't available in Canada till May. I'm crushed. Truly I am. But I'm just confused with this whole novel thing in general. For the people who have the book, is it just made up things we already know, and there is really no point in making a book because they can't even end it, or does it have anything new?

really no point in getting the book no ending it ends with Elizabeth leading the battle saying For today we are the pirates of the caribbean and everything we know is in the book nothing new accept a few kisses but none with Will or Jack

Ya the book was a combination of both the 57 and 36 page scripts...so if u read those, u've pretty much read the book! and other things not in the book/script have leaked onto our hands anyways and we've already discussed it...IMO the BOOK is really one big Tease! the good stuff is yet to come!!

Yes i Have!! and i have and thats why I said The Book is a Tease because it ends with Liz giving a powerful heart pumping speech, lifting the spirits of the Pirates (and Me...Lol) and then she says "Today We are THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!" and leads them to war... can u tell i love that Line, i keep bringing it up!! LOL!! So it ends with u wanting More!!!
the end of DMC book suked! it ended /w JACk and the Pearl getting swallowed by the Kraken.

LOL...ya thats what i find funny about these books....they never really specify what happens to Norrington....they sort of just let it be!
Like in the AWE book...they just leave him at cutting Liz's rope so that she doesnt come back onto the ship when he helped her escape....it seemed like he was getting attacked. but yet since they dont specify what happens to him...he sort of comes back and does something not so good...like in DMC he brought the heart of DAVY to Beckett! and in AWE he's suppose to come back and Kill Will!!
I'm pretty sure Norrington dies. It's not directly stated, but it's implied. The scene that we see is almost verbatum of what happens in the 56 pager.
Norrington doesn't stab Will. The new consensus now is that it's Jones who stabs him with the sword that he made at the beginning of COTBP (oh the Shakespearean irony).
oh...i donīt know what to think about it now...all of you said (or wrote ) something interesting...so what it could be like..??...hah i donīt know but i really love the ending with liz and jack told eachother they love eachother the best ending ever..i think so....i donīt believe these endings with davy stabs it himself ...sorry but i donīt want to believe i rather will think it end up JL coz itīs the best ending for me... and as some girls said on another site, tortuga scene jack turning on camera with interesting look...yes i saw it itīs really interesting and in the background gibbs with ehores so it is obvious that jack stops everything...he probably stops beaing like he was in COTBP heīs starting to live like different man and somehow i doubt he gives up all until he has his lizzie....i am almost 100% sure it will be JL
oh so sorry i wrote ehores...i meant whores... heh welll i was writing too fast... yes because what purpose it would have to leave everything - gibbs his best friend in tortuga NOT on the ship with him....leave the whores - his "pleasure" with them he had...long long ago... and everything simply leave and start to live like different man..he always loved it and now he gives up everything??? i canīt help myself but to me it seems like he would not do that ...only if he had a MOTIVATION....for him, i suppose, only lizzie could be this his motivation....so ...itīs my opinion..
and i donīt see any reason and possibility to have W/L well ok try to imagine...to have leave Liz on the island waiting for dear William every ten years,Will CotFD every ten years returnig to that island to once visit his bonny lass...and to have jack lonely heartbroken still trying to be immortal and NOT with the crew (coz when he leaves gibbs in toruga i donīt know why does he (gibbs) want to not be with jack on the Pearl ...something had to happened,i imagine...) ....and even without strumpets...because he does not want to...well itīs too weird ending for me....and if everyone should be more or less happy i canīt think of it this way...hmm... so thatīs the reason i believe so much in our -the most AWEsome ending ever..
and to be honest at first i didnīt notice his look and the leaving strumpets behind gibbs and jack in the trailer i was sooo because of ONLY ONE JL scene to even not notice other things in it well but then i saw it a lot of times and i was trying to notice every scene in it and i played it again and again after every one second... and finally i saw it
