Indeed it was.. One of my most favorite parts in the series right there. Probably because I used to act that exact same way before I had some real friends. >.>
As for the Marik & Bakura vs Yami Marik duel, ugh. Yeah. Don't remind me..
And.. I never was really fond of the Toon monsters. Like Kaiba said, that card is a disgrace to the original Blue-Eyes.
Well, the 2000 atk/def thing was my reason for why I didn't like the second mouth at times...not attacking you in any way.
Course, in terms of epic-ness, the sb's don't come close to the god cards. Maybe it's the fact that they were really hyped up, and they didn't disappoint when they made their appearance.
Though I didn't like the fact that Ra was considered to be more powerful than the other two, imo, all three should have been equals.
There was a legal version of Obelisk released, with a different art, and looks better now imo. Still got the kick-a** physique though.
Obelisk's effect in the anime was also weird, it would destroy monsters and deal 4000 points of damage, but once I think it also dealt more than that iirc (Was apparently the only one whose atk could become infinite).
Have you guys watched the Pyramid of light movie?

Agreed, though Obelisk does gain infinite attack points after absorbing 2 monsters when on the field. He'd probably whoop Ra when that happens, unless maybe if Ra's in his phoenix mode.
Pics or it didn't happen.
Yeah. I saw it when it was in theaters and got it on VHS as well, though I didn't end up re-watching it as many times as I thought I would, but I did get the Pyramid of Light card for when I watched it in theaters and bought the movie on video (gave the extra to my friend). Also got Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon and Sorceror of Dark Magic when seeing it for the first time.
lol Yeah. That was cool. So was the part where Kaiba got on his blue-eyes white jet and they played the "you're not me" song. Liked it for some reason.
True, but in the manga, his effects would not work on Ra. & Ra looked awesome in Phoenix mode.

Ha!!!
Effect is as follows: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set except by Tributing 3 monsters on your side of the field. This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned, the effects of Spell, Trap, and Effect Monsters cannot be activated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spells, Traps, or Effect Monsters. If this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. You can Tribute 2 monsters to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot declare an attack during the turn you activate this effect.
SoDM is powerful, but hard to bring out >.<, same goes to BESD. Kaiba would have also beaten Yami, damn Anubis.
Liked that song as well. As well as Kaiba beating those toons ^.^

Yeah, that is a badass new design. I still have the non-legal version (semi-legal, or whatever) of the God cards which I bought online.
I know. He was a pretty cool villain though, but I hated how he ruined Kaiba's guaranteed victory there as well.
Heh. Goes to show that Pegasus is just an average duelist at best without the Millenium Eye. I wonder if he still would've beaten Bandit Keith without it..
Awesome indeed. For the most part he's the same, except for the infinite atk thing. Bummer. Still, instant Raigeki at a cost of two monsters is huge.
Cool. I always wanted those three cards. Guess I'll have to settle for the Sacred Beasts >.<
Yeah, non-canon or canon, Kaiba deserved a 'fair' victory over Yami.
You'd think that the person that created the game would be better. But he's still far from average, even without the eye. He lasted for a bit against Kaiba .
He might have.

Well, although it was filler, Kaiba also beat Pegasus quite handley when Allister was disguised as him (he had to reveal his true self to do better against Seto), and Mai beat the real Pegasus and took his soul with relative ease.
In the end, Pegasus got his ass kicked by everyone he dueled against after losing his Millenium item. At first I thought the creator of Duel Monsters would never get beaten by anyone besides Yugi, but was dead wrong there. He's even afraid to use the God cards (which he himself created), but I guess he can't be blamed for that. Only certain duelists can use them after all.

Still filler , so we can't really know for sure. Though yeah, the Eye made him really powerful. I think he only lost to Yami & Bakura???
BTW, was Kaiba the world champion, or the japanese champion at the start of the second series?

In the english version, I remember people mentioning that Yugi beat the world champ.
He could be both, was the jap champ at first, then became the world champ.
