Chapter 30
popping the question
"Whers daddy?" Mara cried.
"I dont know darling" Ginny replied to mara who she was holding, the three of them heard a faint neigh and at once rushed too the stables, once there they realised Ligthning was gone, lilly was still there/
Emma climbed on first and then helped Ginny and mara up, Ginny was petrified.
"is lilly fast?" Mara asked.
"yes but not as fast as Lightning" she told a dissapointed mara, they galloped out of the stable and out ono the back lawn, searching the ground for harry, it was getting dark.
"there he is! at the bottom of the hill, god that horse is fast!" Emma said pointing at Harry was on the other side of the 1000 acre estate at the bottom of the hill over looking the lake.
She set off at once riding across the plain, but by the time she reached the bottom harry had already been at the top for five minutes. She quickly raced up the hill, she halted at the top behind Harry who was standing at the edge his toes over hanging the ledge.
"shall i speak to him?" emma asked.
"no thanks em, i need to tell him something" Ginny sighed, she climbed of lilly and pulled mara down too, emma smiled and galloped away, Ginny walked over to Harry.
"Harry are you okay?" she whispered quietly behind him, he hadn't acknowledged her pressence yet.
"i knew you would come...it's beautiful isn't it" he said looking across the lake, which as the sun was falling behind the distance mountains was sending rays of light bouncing off the water.
"yes...it is...is that why you wanted too do it tonight?" she asked him.
"yes it was" he whispered. she placed her hand on his shoulder and he turned to face her, he smiled and pulled her into him forgetting mara was inbetween them.
"Daddy! your squashing me!" mara yelped.
"sorry princess" he said smiling.
"do it Harry" Ginny said looking up at him.
"Do what?"
"what you had planned Daddy" Mara told him shaking her head.
"oh that...you don't want to hear it" he said looking away.
"do it!" Ginny said between a clenched jaw.
"fine...well...god this is hard...i was...i love you" he said.
"really, i didnt know that" Ginny replied sarcastically.
"ha ha, i don't know...its just when, i see you, in what ever way, everything make sense, everything, you stop me getting killed, seeing your face in my head stopped me doing something stupid today, when i fight i think of you, i'm invincible, nobody can ouch me. your apart of me, a par ti want to hold for ever and love for eternity, without you i'd die, i would be cold and lonely, your the only one,the only person who has loved me for being me, not the boy-who-lived ot the chosen one, i'd die a million times just to make you happy, and if you weren't i would do it all again, i love you Ginny" he said, he dropped to his knees and pointed his wand in the sky, fireworks erupted from his wand, the reld and gold rockets danced around in the sky, they exploded and the sparks rearranged themselves to say 'Ginny weasley will you marry me', the bang was so loud it alerted the occupants in Potter manor to look outside, they all saw the word and most of the female population burst out crying those including tonks and Mrs Weasley.
"so ginny, will you marry me and make this most handsome idiot into a...married idiot" he said smiling.
"of course i will you idiot" she said pulling him up, he hugged her and kissed her again.
They sat down together ontop of the cliff with mara inbetween them.
"i believe there was something you wanted to tell me?" Harry asked kissing her again.
"yes...erm...well...Harry i'm pregnant" she said nervously, she looked up into his eyes but unfortunately she couldn't read them.
"how the bloody hell did that happen?" he asked smiling.
"harry, i think you know how it happened" she said angrily.
"ha ha, i mean, apart from this week, we havent for...you know...for two months...i think i'd notice if your where two months pregnant." he said confused.
"i know i'm only one week gone" she said.
"how on earth do you know if your only a week!?!" he said.
"it's a new charm, it can tell instantly" she informed him.
"instantly!?! thats mad!" he said "your moms goint to chop my bol-" he began worriedly.
"she wont she knows, she a little dissapointed, thats why she was upset when you dissapeared. shes happy for us though." Ginny said smiling.
"oh well forget all about that then...your Pregnant! thats fantastic!" he said jumping up and down, Ginny giggled at him. "i'm gonna be a dad!" he exclaimed loudly. Kissing Ginny again.
"here that mara your going to have a brother" Harry said excitedly still jumping up and down.
"sister" Ginny corrected.
"boy"

"how do you know?" Harry asked.
"how do you know" She asked back.
"because in every Potter Generation a boy has been born first, my grandad was first but an only child, my dad first but an only child and me before emma, plus all the Potter before i dont no about" he told her Grinning madly.
"fine but dont forget our mission" she said smiling.
"i wont, too fill all twenty seven rooms up with chldren twins sharing" he said smiling.
"good, lets go back" she whispered. "shall we tell them?"
"no they need to grieve for percey for awhile" Harry said.
"okay" she said walking over too lightning.
"so what does it feel like being engaged to the official hottest man on the planet?" Harry asked.
"whos that, i was under the impression i was marrying the wotlds most bg headed idiot" she said smiling. Harry helped Ginny up and then climbed up behind her.
"is mara asleep?" he asked.
"yes...you know she sleeps to much like you, and you need to get back in the gym, i'v noticed youved moved up a couple of notches on your belts.
"yes wife" he said playfully, she turned around and kissed him.
"good boy, we will make a half decent husband out of you." she said smiling.
"i'm looking forward to seeing you in your wedding dress with your small bump" he said smiling.
"small, how quick are we getting married?" She asked shocked.
"i was thinking about two weeks after your graduation" he said said.
"Thats only two and a half months a way!" Ginny nearly shouted causing mara to stir.
"dont worry, we'll arrange it all...now who do yuo want a bridesmaids?" he asked.
"emma, Hermione, and mara" Ginny said.
"good, i'll deal with everything else" he told her.
"erm...i've already done it" she whispered. "i have a book of plans"
"and how long have you had that?" he asked trying not oo laugh.
She mumbled something inaudable.
"sorry i didn't cath that" he said grinning.
"about eight years!" she said blushing furiuosly.
"dont be embarrased its cute, i'll pick it up tomorrow and sen it off, i'll get some people to finalise it, everything you want will be done" he said resting his head on her shoulder.
"are you sure, i had quite...an imagination when i was younger...it will cost alot" she told him, looking nervous.
"moneys no object for you, i promise what ever you want you shall have" he said as they entered the stable.
"okay, but don't look in the book it's private!" she said.
They the living room, where all the guests were still present. lupin stood up.
"Harry whats this?" he said holding up the vial he had given remus for christmas.
"how long to the full moon, a week? drink it, its safe" he said, remus looked at him and then uncorked it and drained the vial whilst the others looked on.
"how do you feel?" he asked.
"brilliant! i feel younger, much younger, i feel lie i could go for a run, whos coming with me!" he said jumping up, his face beaming, the scars running along is face slowly fading.
"calm down honey...harry whatbhave you done to him?" tonks said angrily.
"shan't tell, we'll talk in a week!" Harry said smiling.
"what are you two so happy about?" she asked.
"no reason, i just feel upset about Hagrid and Percey, but another side of me feels fantastic" he said before grabbing Ginny and kissing her passionately infront of everyone. He let go and came up smiling. Ginny pulled his head back and kissed him back a much as he had done her.
"god! whats got into you guys? we know your getting married we allsaw, is Ginny pregnant or something" tonks whispered, Harry and Ginny where both beaming occasionally kissing.
"aahhhhh!" tonks screamed, grabbing both of them around there necks and pulling them into her.
"congratulations!" she screamed jumping up and down. she kissed Harry on the cheek and hugged Ginny tightly. "its brilliant!" she said before shaking her head as the two of them were kissing again.
Molly was looing on her eyes filled with tears of happiness and sadness for her only daughter and her fiancee who she loved dearly as one of her own children and knwo she was expecting her first proper grandchild and from her youngest no least, she was unaware of Hermiones still untold news.
All of the guests including Minerva, matt and snape congratulated them on the known news of Ginny excepting Harrys proposal. All of them thanked Harry and Ginny who had got joint presents for the gifts, all of them claiming they loved their gifts and couldn't wait till next year.
Matthew lead harry outside into the hallway.
"Harry when you return too school emma shall be returning, i wont always be around, will you keep a eye on her?" he asked seriously.
"i would do anyay!" Harry shouted.
"i know...you understand what she means to me, i wont always be here, you have to be" he said placing his hands on his shoulders. They continued too talk for a while then matthew declared he had too get home, and he promptly left.
Harry rejoined the group and not long after Tonks and lupin left, with tonks still trying too control lupin who was running around madly laughing, with tonks chasing trying to restrain him from destroying any valuable items, there was alot of them.
"Harry what have you done too Remus?" Ginny asked Harry, they were sitting in the corner of the room, with Ginny-

cuddled up on Harrys lap.
They had been talking for several minutes there heads pressed together, occasionally breaking the talking to softly kiss one another. Harry had one of his hands around her back and the othe rresting on her stomach and her hand on top of his, both of them smiling dangerously getting curious looks from the weasleys.
Harry noticed McGonagall beaming at them whilst she was talking to Snape who then turned around and smiled. Harry also noticed Hermione beaming at them, she indicated at Harrys hand and smiled nodding back at her he saw her eyes fill up with tears.
"you will see next week" he said smiling.
"Harry!" she whispered.
"you'll ruin the surprise" he said.
"i hate surprises" she grumbled.
"dont i know it" he said, she smiled apologetically.
"i'll pretend you said you'll tell me later" she said with a yawn.
"come on lets go to bed" he said helping her up.
Harry went over too Emma and took Mara off her who was asleep she sbuggled into his shoulder and mumbled something unrecgoniseable. Bading goodnight too the others he put an arm around Ginnys shoulder and led her upstairs, wanting to be with his family he put mara in bed with them straight away inbeween them, with there foreheads pressed together and there arms over mara in a protective shell both Harry and Ginny quickly fell asleep.
Downstairs the teachers had left and Emma and Draco plus the grangers had gone too their rooms leaving only the weasleys gathered around the dining room table. They were discussing Harry and Ginnys strange behaviour.
"its obvious, shes got to be pregnant, looks like somebody forgot your warning!" Ron said angrily too fred and george.
"Ron! what would it matter if she was, you know harry would be there for them!" Molly said disgusted with her youngests son attitude.
"you know something dont you!" Ron said standing.
"Dont you shout at your Mother Ron!" Arthur said, trying to step in.
"if Ginny is pregnant then she and Harry will tell us in there own time" Molly said also standing up.
"i dont care, that boy has knocked my sister up!" he shouted, the others gasped and then looked at him with rage, Charlie and the twins stood up there fist balled. Ron didnt step down.
"Have some respect for your sister Ron" Bill said "we all know Ginny liked harry since she first heard his name, and then he finally noticed her, he loves her and is totally devoted to her, he has given her a fabulous home, hes trained her to be a powerful witch, she will live her life in comfort and riches even though neither of them like it, he will spoil her with gifts and present all the time until they die of old age, havent you ever realised that if Harry gets killed in this war every one of us around this table with become millionaies, possibly billionaires, all of us will become filthy rich as Harry calls it, he despises the money so he treats other people, who else has ever bought you the latest broom for christmas do you know how much its costs." Bill said looking at him his face unreadable.
"of course i do" he said ashamed of what he had said.
"if Ginny is pregnant i expect it too be the first of many children they have together possibly more than the Weasley if i've heard whats its true that they are always at it" he said smiling, the others chuckled yet blushed at the the thought of their sister and Harry together. "i've never seen a couple so young more in love than them two" Bill said calmly, Ron nodded and then left the room.
"thankyou bill" Molly said. "that was wonderful, i dont know whats wrong with him" Molly said crying.
"how do you Harry and Ginny are always at it?" Fred asked Laughing.
"zat vud be me" Fleur said to the table.
"vat?" she said as they all looked at her. "we talk you know, girls" she said smiling.
"we dont want to know" Charlie said whilst the others laughed.

Chapter 31
Land of the Dead
As soon as the spell was issued from the wand it was only his instinct, the pledge too give his life for Ginny, his love, that enabled him too apparate inbetween them, knowing he was too meet his doom Harry spread his arms out wide to narrow the chances of the spell missing, there was no last thoughts, not time for that, only time too save his beloved.
Harry Potter was dead before he hit the Burrow, already gone there was no pain from the impact of the building, only a shell of a human being, only a shell of one of the most powerful wizards of all time, it was love, like Dumbledore always said, that gave him this power, without it he would be your average wizard.
So before the end he finally knew what the power the dark lord knew not, not that it mattered now, Harry was dead.
Well he thought he was, until he opened his eyes, but then reality hit home, this was not where he closed his eyes, looking around, gazing at the beauty of this strange land, here he felt happy, a warm heart, he was drawed to this place it was home.
He stood up and began too walk through the knee-length grass he walked to the edge of the a great white cliff that looked out over the ocean, it went futher than the eye could see. He sat down and then lay down on his back, hey! he is dead no point in rushing!, looking up into the sky watching the clouds as they passed, deep in thought of where he was he decided on one thing, Death was certainly the next adventure, well it least it's peaceful he told himself.
He stood up and looked inland, the whole of the plain was covered in knee length grass apart from a single track that lead down to a great oak tree and then past that towards the mountains in the disatnce.
Yes, on the horizon hills were formed blocking the whole of the land from view, and yet in the middle of this empty land stood a single tree, not a thin dying tree, but a grand oak tree full in season, Harry kept his gaze on the tree with great interest, he was being drawn to it.
He was greatly shocked too see a person standing at the base of the tree, the long white flowing beard was unmistakeable, Albus Dumbledore stood at the base of the tree to welcome him too the land of the dead.
Harry slowly set off crossing the field before reaching the path, keeping an unblinking eye on the figure he reached the figure and stood before him several metres away from the old man who was smiling at him the twinkle present in his eyes.
"professor?" Harry questioned.
"i believe, that formalities passed along time ago Harry" he said smiling.
"yes...albus"
With a stride from either of them they found themselves embracing as a father and son would, after a minute they pulled apart both smiling, their cheeks glistening with tears.
"i've missed you albus" Harry said smiling.
"and i you" the old man replied.
"come...there is something i belive you need too see" Albus said, he put an arm around his shoulder and began too lead him along the path that led through the hills.
"i failed sir, the horcruxes i mean" harry said looking across at Dumbledore.
"i understand, it was a huge task for somebody so young, yet i was under the impression you were doing fairly well, that's all that matters, there are others who can carry onour work" he said as they reached the hills.
"why didn't you tell me sir, about everythng?" Harry asked quietly.
"i was wondering when i would be asked, the thruth my dear boy, how ever stupid it sounds was too protect you, with your sister as i was correct if you knew about her before the battle at the DoM then Voldermort would know be aware that there was more family he could deprive you of, with Gryffindors Heir, i believed it would get to your head, such overwhelming news can be unbearable at times, and well the prophecy we dissussed that" he said simply.
"i'm sorry sir...i forgive you" harry said quietly.
"thankyou...i hoped you would when we met" he replied.
They had now passed through the hills and were looking out directly into another field, this time instead of a tree there stood a cottage and its gardens, the cottage was issueing steam form its chimney and the windows were open, people talking could be hear.
Albus gently nudged harry and they beagn to make there way too the house, eventually they reached the house and stopped out side the door.
"in you go" Albus said smiling.
Harry gently placed his hand on the warm handle and turned it then pushed the door stood open and he took one step in viewing the whole seen. His father and Sirius seemed to be sitting on the table playing exploding snap and his mother was leaning over the sink washing up only she had heard the door open, she turned and looked the let out a mighty scream, she dropped the plate which shatterd intoa thousand pieces and then she sarted too Harry, the two men looked and then also jumped up.
"my baby...you can't be dead" Lilly cried hugging him tightly, Harry closed his arms around his mother for the first time in his life, if being dead is what you call being alive, hell i dont know!.
"it's okay mom" he whispered rubbing his back.
"he called me mom!" she wailed, Sirius was snickering but jamesd glared at him, he stepped forward and placed a han on Harrys shoulder.
"its good too see you son, we've missed you" eh said, Lilly moved aside and then james pulled Harry into him, James now had tears rolling down his face, and the funny thing was so had Sirius.
"it's been a long time" James whispered. He let go and Sirius came over.
"how ya been Kiddo!" he said hugging him and thumping him on the back.
"i've been, or was okay, you know how it is, deafeating evil wizards and all the other stuff." he said smiling, Lilly was hugging him again gently sobbing.
"and what about Ginny eh?" Srius said, James laughed and Lilly glared at them.
"w-w-what about her?" he said stammering, they all laughed.
"we know all about what you've been getting up too!" Sirius said smiling, still wiping the tears away.
"ah shut up!" Harry growled, they all laughed.
"you know James he looks just like you" Lilly said sroking Harry's chhek.
"at least we got one thing right then!" James chuckled.
Lilly led Harry over too the table and sat him down, clearing the cards away.
"are you hungry?" lilly asked he nodded.
"So how did you die!" Sirius asked, both James and Lilly glared at him, harry chuckled.
"i jumped infront of the killing curse that was about too hit Ginny" he told them. They all stopped and looked at him.
"was the prophecy completed?" James asked.
"no, nearly i beat him few good times, coward kept running away, not that i could with the horcruxes." he said, the others looked at him. Lilly placed a plate full of food infornt of him and smiled it was the first meal she had cooked for him.
"perhaps i should help there" Dumbledore said, as he entered the building, he looked quite happy as if he'd just been given good news.
Both Harry and Albus then went on too Disscuss what the Horcruxes are and how too destroy them, they told them all of what they had achieved and what the horcruxes were.
"So the diary was destroyed, the ring, the locket, nagini, so whats left?" James asked. Dumbledore looked at Harry and he nodded.
"Well there is Hufflepuffs cup, Voldermort himself and my scar-" he said, the others gasped Dumbledores face reamined passive.
"but i believe that it may have been destroyed with me dying, so just the cup really and then voldermort" Harry said smiling.
"so he is nealy finished" James sighed.
"yes, but i don't knwo who will do it" Harry said grimly, there was nobody.
"well it's late, bed time i think" Lilly said, she began to usher the others too there rooms.
Harry was shown his bedroom and then went too sleep Happy once again, knowing he would from know on be waking up to his parents and the closest things to a father he ad ever had.
