If I was to say that unicorns exist, and go on to use a book about unicorns to provide details, write a five page essay dealing with these details, and then it turns out the book I got them from isn't conclusive evidence, then the five page essay cannot be considered factual... Same with this heaven thing.
Which is what they have done with NDEs and they have come to the conclusion that it does occur. People who have died and come back to life have returned with knowledge about events that transpired while they were dead (i.e. outside of their bodies). They have reported in detail what various events were happening while they were dead, that only a person with a third person view would know.

I'm aware of the NDE phenomenon, but it does not validate the Bible. It's happened to many people of different faiths and each experience is different. However, it does not support your view of the Bible.
Well to bad that the same thing has been replicated through stimulation of a certain part of the brain... You don't need to have an NDE to have an NDE if you know what I mean...
Many of you that don't believe in NDE can't say as a surety that people aren't experiencing what they believe they are. Have one, then come back and tell me that you don't believe it.
Saying that, I believe that all cultures and believers of all different religions and nonreligious groups experience different phenomena, not just the Hell vs Heaven visions. It's not as cut and dry as "well, your brain is dying or it's the medication." There is the possibility that we do leave our bodies to experience something rather beyond our comprehension. To say otherwise is very close minded.
Gender: Unspecified Location: One for the other hand
As in the medical definition of brain dead which is still in debate as to what it is. I could also have paranoid delusions and I would think they are real too so I don't see that as being a valid reason to say they are true.
Gender: Unspecified Location: One for the other hand
Granted that is true but it also reminds me of the saying "look for the horses and not the zebra" which basically means look for the most common thing instead of the unusual, once you rule out the common then the unusual becomes the probable.

Saying there are no absolutes is in turn an absolute. I love when relativist contradict themselves.
Well, it's scientifically proven that your five sense are signals that your brain creates and not the authentic. For instance: I may see an apple placed on a table, but in reality my brain is simply telling me an interpertation of what may or may not be there. Same goes for : Touch, Smell, Taste, and Hearing.
There's no way to empirically prove what were seeing to be without a doubt true. So, how do we even tell others that what they see are delusions?
I'm not saying all delusions are true, but it proves a point.

People call it the tunnel to the other side. NDE is due to brain function and there is no evidence of afterlife. Neuro scientist know that NDE happens when the brain slowly shuts down by any type of hit in the head or some type of fainting. Or even when you pass out due to anything a human cannot withstand.
I learned in biology that when the blood flows in the brain are cut, lack of oxygen sends the inner thought in the brain into some dimmension what ever. I call it a mind trick all due to how the body works and goes. Our own hallucinations is what plays with our own minds. It has all been proved through the test runs. In NASA, when experienced astronauts are in astro fuges, they go in a speed of nine G's as there lungs are compacted at that point and of course the blood drains from your head into there lower extremenis. Many have been tested, and they claim to see the "tunnel to the other side." Coincidence? Nah.
In conclusion, it is just a traumatic experience. It is only due to how the brain can handle the life threatening situation. Nearly 18% of us have an NDE. It is also known as vivid dreams through your own mind tricks. Just remember that we are our brains.
