That is so lame. laughing That's like saying the Oklahoma City bomber didn't kill the people who didn't die upon impact when the bomb exploded, but who later died of complications from being in the building and not being able to get out roll eyes (sarcastic)

Do better than that

Of course its a stupid point, but I think im done debating. Some of the things some the Burton haters come up with are so stupid its not worth addressing.

Most Burton lovers that I've seen here like Batman Begins but only have small issues with the film. I have hardly seen anyone making posts about Nolan being a moron and Christian Bale being terrible roll eyes (sarcastic)

Furthermore there seems to be less of a drive to discredit one film to uphold another one as well on the Burton lovers side.

i walked away from Batman Begins with a sense of renewal, a breath of fresh air, the fact that they took time to show the journey of Bruce becoming Batman gives the audience more of an idea of why he actually parades around as a bat. I cannot stress enough that Nolan hit the nail straight on the head with Batman Begins

Yeah he did.In Burtons 89 film,he had so little screentime as batman you never even got to understand why he fought crime or dressed up like a bat because the movie devoted so much screentime to the villians.the only thing it got across was he was depressed about his parents being killed in the whole movie.thats okay for a tv episode for a tv show for the villains to have most of the screentime, but not for a movie.a movie is a special case.oh and since it was brought up earlier by one of the keaton/burton apologists-the ones who apologize for the shortcomings and failures of those movies without end, big grin with the man-spider movies,on the casting of tobey mcguire as peter parker,he actually DID look the part of peter parker and came close to looking the part, its just with HIM,he does such a horrible job of delivering his lines in those movies, the movies are a joke.I never wanted him from the beginning, wish they could have gotten someone else.BATMAN BEGINS gives me hope for the future of spidey though, that someday they will redeem themselves witrh spidey as well and spidey fans can see the character of SPIDERMAN on the screen,NOT man-spider which is all we have in these pitiful Raimi directed movies.down with Raimis head!!!!! stick out tongue

The burton movies sucked because batman was a supporting role.

The burton movies sucked because gordon was wasted.

The burton movies sucked because the scripts and the lines were pretty bad and corny.

The burton movies sucked because the origin wasnt told in any way.

The burton movies sucked because michael keaton was a total mistake as batman and bruce wayne. I couldnt believe in 1000 years that michael keaton is bruce wayne, a good looking playboy trained in all the fight styles and one of the most perfect human ever. Come on, even he wasnt muscular at all and was a terrible fighter. And i have to believe that michael keaton is batman? What a joke.

Batman begins has its flaws, but in general terms, is the definitive batman movie for the moment. Batman was the main character, gordon was gordon, the origin was told, and christian bale was batman. He trained, he was muscular, he was bruce wayne. If in a movie, you cant believe the actor in the actor in the main role, the res sucks. I believe that christian bale is batman, i cant believe that keaton is batman.

For all of that, begins is the best batman movie in all the ways.

A whole movie in my opinion does not suck because of a list of gripes. i could come up with a list of gripes about Batman Begins too. Overall Batman and Batman Returns were well made good movies that had flaws in the Batman Origin. They may not have been the best Batman films but they were still good movies and entertaining. And a lot of people were relieved when they left the theater after they saw Keaton's performance as Batman. He wouldn't have his "apologists" if he were actually as dreadful as some people make him out to be. Batman I would have tanked after bad word of mouth if Keaton was so starkly unbelievable as Batman and he would not have been asked back for not only Batman II but Batman III as well if the vast majority of people had not accepted him in the role. This may be shocking but some people were disappointed with Christina Bale as well. But o well you'll never please everyone especially the whiny fanboy who is never 100% happy with anything.

You can say that again. I think im done debating this is just stupidity. I dont know about you but unless a Batman film is really bad I dont mind that much. The way I see it the director is making his own alternate universe of batman and its up to him to make his own versions of the characters based on the comic.

Exactly... It's not like the movie is the only representation of the character... That's what makes Batman movies so fun to watch, you get to see the character in a way you never have before...

There isnt a problem with the many different versions of batman, in the comics, they have made a lot of batman versions.

And isnt a problem of fanboys. first, im a cinema fan, second, a comics fan. Heard to me, if i would be a comics freak, i would say " wait, lex luthor being funny and with a wig, metropolis as new york , this superman movie sucks", and i love the superman movie.
And i would say" wait a moment, ra's being bruce's master? cillian murphy doesnt look as scarecrow, young bruce going to a opera in stead of a movie, Oh my god, this movie sucks". And i just love batman begins.

The problem is that i cant believe in michael keaton as batman or bruce wayne. The problem is the origin not told. The problem is the villains being the focus. The problem is the corny scripts. Tim burton batman movies werent not good batman movies and not good tim burton movies. In my opinion and in the opinion of many others, those batman movies sucked because they were bad movies. So plain and simple.
