To make the difference between rap and singing more clear
singing is the art of uttering a series of words or sounds in musical tones.
Rap already mentioned above.
Yes Mah I have heard the song dont like it, it amuses me when this " tough" guy trying to be mushy. Most rappers these days are both singing and rapping all mixed together. They seemed to have moved away from the original way when rapping was more of a talking rhymes accompanied to a funk beat.
Then they started to use more or less very well known musical works for their background music. (Rundmc actually helped Aerosmith to a comeback by doing so) This still goes on with a lot of artists that has turned into be known as the style of hip hop.
what music I like?
Well I all from hard rock to classical music.
I am very versatile when it comes to music.
My fav group is Depp Purple ( the old stuff)
But I like bands/Artists like Rainbow, Whitesnake, Marillion, U2, Talk Talk, The Clash, Jeff Buckley, Tommy Bolin ,Glenn Hughes, Trapeze, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Duran Duran, Chicago, Foreigner, Kiss, Kate Bush, April Wine, Supertramp, Elo, Depeche Mode, Kiss, Billy Idol, Supergrass, Stone Roses, 10CC, David Bowie, Elo, Beatles, Moody Blues, Police(almost forgott them)
calling classical horrible means you havent heard too much off it.
So tell me Yers what have you heard, I agree not all classical pieces are good, but you do like the Star Wars soundtracks do you not?
now finti, I can now just reverse the whole thing:
calling rap horrible means you haven't heard much off it either.
I too agree not every rap is good too.
never did either, just called eminem crap not rap. What I said was that I was not found of rap, and cant stand it, doesnt mean I say it is horrible. Grandmaster melle mel and Grandmaster Flash had pretty cool stuff . But todays stuff seems like they went down a blind ally, using other tunes as the beat line. At least they could have the courtesy to make something of their own.
And further more I think I have heard more of it than you, remember rap aint a new thing it s been around a while.
this was not said by me either. It has been mentioned, yes, but not by me. Try to get it straight next time
