If you count the Star Wars exclusives, there's like 19 secret characters, most of which can be purchased in the Character Creation mode.

No I meant the ones you earn, not buy. Like Ashlotte, Shura etc.

Oh.. In that case, there's like 7 that you earn in Story mode, and Shura is easily the best of the secret/bonus fighters IMO. smile

The Grapple Break A or whatever? Fortunately, my created character already has that.

Thanks, finally took your advice. Other than Yoda, which has to be bought, and the Apperentice which is in there somewhere, I'm not sure about hidden characters.

Go to the marketplace and game add-ons, look for Soul Calibur IV, and download Vader for 400 Microsoft points. Like now. Yoda will become pretty much obsolete after that.

Sweet, how you liking it so far? To unlock Apprentice, just play Arcade mode until you get to Vader (I'm guessing you got the PS3 version).

It'd be cool if they added all the old characters from previous games as DLC.

It's deep. The features on it have a steep learning curb, but I'm enjoying it.

The Apprentice is giving me problems trying to beat him with Vader, I suck majorly with Vader so I can't seem to beat him for two freakin' rounds in a row.

Soul Calibur IV definitely has to be one of my favorite fighting games on the 360.

Heh.. is that the Cervantes cut-copy-paste?

I think she's actually better though cuz she got more range

Yeah she pretty much has the exact same move set as Cervantes. I tend to play as her over him because her swords are longer.

Though I mainly use Talim or Sophitia.

Yeah, and better speed kinda. Still my favorite female character in the game though. I just wish she had been her own character instead of a bonus, but it's not that big a deal I guess.

Hmm. I didn't get this version of the Apprentice's ending until after I downloaded Vader, but it was most interesting indeed. smile

Glad to see Starkiller getting a taste of what he deserves. laughing out loud

Tower mode has certain requirements to unlock more items, like win by ring out, or win without losing health etc. And keep playing story mode with your custom fighter and you'll level up more, unlock more and earn more money to buy stuff.

Play story mode with the same custom character, or several that I've created?

I think items are shared across each one you've made, but you'll also be levelling that character's fighting style as well, so you'll unlock that style's weapons. So if you want items it won't matter which one you use, but if you want weapons you'll need different characters with different styles.

Or you can just purchase any characters' ultimate weapon for around 20,000 gold after beating Story mode with them, and then apply that weapon to your custom character. My custom character for instances uses Soul Edge (final form), which can also be used by Nightmare.

Speaking of ultimate weapons, I like how the Star Wars characters' hands become all glowy when they use theirs.

Thank you. Equipping a weapon's ultimate form to a custom character will help unlock more items?
