Force bond doesn't mean shit. If you want to talk about the "best" team in the kotor era it would be exar kun and revan. Both of them are supremely powerful to just about every one else in that era.
Tyrranus, although hes nothing amaizing, he certainly has the best lightsaber form I have seen, combined with great personality, a good actor, Elegance beyond his evil. We havent seen him do anything really inhumane or cold blooded. He is a way better sith character then anyone else, and certainly the most likeable out of the bunch.
except that these teams never happened except Revan with Traya. I believe that what he meant was that Revan and Bastilla are the best team that actually existed...
and, as far as "teamwork" goes, their forcebond would make them exceptional at teamwork.
Even though, there might be other teams that are more powerful because their members are more powerful individually, they would not be able to excecute teamwork as well as revan and bastilla.
so that might just be what he meant by being the "best team"
No, I dont want to start a debate... thats just my opinion.
I've been reading the earlier post and I've just got to ask: What the f*ck was so great about Malak. He's pretty much a walking clique, with his evil laugh and brutal tactics. He was just a thug with forcepower's. He's not even comparible to Lord Kaan, let alone Revan.
Just.
Plain.
Bad.
Kaan mind-raped Bane for starters. Oh wait... he didn't. Nevermind, he blows.
Malak may have been a little bit cliched for a bad guy, but at least he looked and sounded good. Instead of the over-used black attire, he donned a red suit. Different, but still pretty good. On the plus side, he was actually pretty evil and malevelont.

Khann was a pitiful sith lord who was easily minipulated into killing his entire brotherhood. He was a weak fool and a moron, and never deserved to lead any sith.
malak has a nice backstory (i liked the dark horse kotor comics for their refernce to malak and revan (alek squinteroiwejombnoine)
clique=a group of freinds that are hard to penetrate
cliche=standard/overused
something quite different about him as well. his voice is way cooler then most (i love that deep metallic echo sound) he wears an orange skintight suit (i would have liked a more cliche black loose suit better but.... hes less cliche this way and what sort of sith is he cliche to? i have seen one sith that i can compare him to... and thats vader, just because of the bionic jaw
SITH ARE BRUTAL
male sith HAVE A DEEP EVIL LAUGH
what do you expect?
peewee herman approaches revan:
"hi... im the *sensetive* sith lord. I like to make people laugh. I like daisies and men... lets go and romp through naboos green pastures together! we will have a good time and i will try and rule the galaxy through love and happiness! the star forge is at full capacity making giant metal daisy chains" IS THIS REALLY WHAT YOU WANT FROM A SITH LORD??? I DONT THINK SO.
Well, if he made every second Friday of the month casual dress day, yeah.
OH, but aside from that: thumbs up. I refuse to use the little icon.

!!! i dont think you really would like star wars better if vader was 4'2" and was voiced by peewee herman and wore jeans every second friday of the month....
He is just the archetyptual villian. I mean for gods sake he laughs insanely whilst torturing Bastila, and I believe at other times for no apparent reason. Plus there is no real reason for his fall other than jelousy. Add to that his frankly ridiculous and slightly gay red outfit and he's just plain bad. He's also a simple minded brute with none of the extraordinary cunning that I've come to expect from a Sith. He is..... sub-par.
i would laugh insanely if i had that gorgeous woman strapped down too...
maybe he laughs insanely at other times for no apparent reason because hes.... insane?
he and revan fell to the darkside together. they both found the trayus academy on malachor 5 and they left on the darkside. he betrayed revan out of jealousy and the lust for power (same reason sideous betrayed plageus the wise)
Kreia/treya (best vid game character of 2005by gamespy)=Incredible manipulative cunning
Sidous=cunning
there you go, you expect too much. their mistake was not having malak an all powerful being like nihilus, but otherwise, there were only two sith that i can think of that have the cunning you seek.
Bane was cunning too, to an extent, but other than them, yeah, noone else.

Actually, except for the insane laughing and the suit, he IS quite like the Sith we've come to know and love. Aside from the above mentioned Sidious (only referenced continuously due to his success and immense presence in Star Wars) and Kreia, Malak's pretty Sithly.
He gloats, just like... EVERY Sith except possibly Revan and Ragnos.
He's arrogant and full of himself, just like... EVERY Sith.
He's physically imposing (and you don't always need height and muscle for that), just like... Ragnos, Sadow, Kun, Revan, Sion, Nihilus, Bane, Maul even, Vader, Krayt.
He betrayed his master, just like... Nadd, Kun, Qel Droma, Bane, Sidious, Vader, Luke (sorta). And from what we know, almost every Sith of Bane's line.
He has en evil grand scheme to conquer the galaxy, just like... Hell, name a Sith that doesn't fit that portfolio. Ragnos I guess.
He's defeated by the Light Side, just like... yeah, you get where I'm going with this.
Unlike most of his brethren however, he's not draped in black, which frankly has become rather overused. His red was a pleasant change. He also gets redeemed right at the last moment, rather Vaderish eh? Same with his height, his lack of a visible mouth, quite a cruel sounding voice, his apparent love of executing subordinates.
A lot of similarities between him and other Sith, yet enough differences to make an effective impact. Malak was a damn decent character, and fine example of a Sith Lord. Evil, ruthless, barbaric, treacherous, arrogant, cruel, brutal. Cunning isn't everything.
