I don't blame you....[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Priscilla remaking the Eclipse scene with Raki was another messed up thought I had
But considering that Priscilla has been eating awakened beings this whole time and complained about how Dae tasted, I though she would've jumped at the chance to have some good innards.
I also think that that scene has a deeper meaning than a superficial reading. I think Raiki was also hoping that Priscilla would do 1 or 2 things:
1. Reveal her intentions/motivations (which she did).
2. Possibly dissuade her from her path or at least plant a seed of doubt so that she would stop her path. He did this because he cares about her and knows she is a troubled and emotional being.
#2 is still possible. He may have gotten through to her. Isley had planned this, too. Also, that makes me hate the fact that Isley was killed so soon. He was kickass and one of the coolest characters. He was genuinely nice and a very good tactician.
Priscilla even told Raki that she was only travelling with him and protecting him due to Clare's scent that clung onto him. After she got her memories back, it was made quite clear that she didn't care about him in the least. And as we saw in this chapter, Priscilla toyed with Raki for a bit, but it was Ophelia style toying, which isn't good.
While reading this chapter I almost forgot about Miria's plan.
Well I think Miria was the first to point out just how much potential Clare had. Deneve is just the first person to realize how much Clare grew over the years.
