Yes, as Ryu and Kyo did in Capcom vs. SNK I think, but why say they're allies? Here Ryu fans don't think anyone in Tekken should be paired up with a Street Fighter.

I didn't say they should be paired. I thought we should base it on what we see. In Capcom vs. SNK you can tell by Ryu and Kyo's intro that they're rivals and in Namco X Capcom Ryu and Jin were working together, I believe. Unless there's some quotes from either two that says differently, they seem more like allies than rivals.
Heck, I don't mind if Tekken is paired up with Street Fighter. However, I can't say it's perfect match, seeing that Tekken has it's own rival (Virtua Fighter).

You see, it's not because of that that he deserves respect. It would be for a reason such as devoting his entire life to fighting, not that characters like Kyo and Jin haven't done that somewhat.
