Iori warmed him up when he set him on fire Kyo's cool, but I really don't see him beating Iori. He can give him a good scrap(more than many characters can say), but that's about it.

snk tends to respect it's fans. when they were trying to promote kof95 Iori stuck with the fans in ways no one ever did before (or ever has). so they respect that and don't disappoint the fans by making a way cooler and more popular character lose out to the less popular one without ruining the overall story. if they did it'd be like how they got the female punisher chick (can't remember her name) to replace Frank Castle for a couple of issues and tried to sell it saying "because you asked for it!". that shite don't work cuz then you forget about the guy the series is ACTUALLY about.
oh and while we're at it.............The Punisher is the coolest comic book character ever made.
Punisher>>Marvel and DC
Spidey's cooler than Punisher any day of the week. Punisher's cool & all(& his last movie is extremely underrated), but Spidey is the icon for a reason. Pun 1st appeared in a Spidey mag btw. Pun's cooler than the majority of DC cats I'd say because DC leans towards overthetopness
There's respecting the fans & then there's catering to them so much it compromises the story with redundancy & encourages fanboyism(Fatal Terry series)I think he was pulling a Spider-Man. Doing what it takes to piss the enemy off so they fvck up. Keeps one interested, just waiting for the day when the hero triumphs. That "hero never loses shit was lame from day one. I haven't seen them actually finish any regular fights w/each other yet. A W against Iori is within the realm of possibility for one such as Kyo. Kyo's skill is near enough to Iori's that the outcome isn't predictable like say a Terry vs. Boss fight. If Kyo started training like Iori does he might even pull off the W.

Problem is Iori is better than Kyo in every way possible. They must have changed Kyo close to 3-4 times during the series, giving him different moves versus Iori who's hardly changed at all over years. Yet, Iori still has much more intimidating move sets and he has riot blood. If Kyo is a man with flames then Iori is a killer with killer flames.

and now we know why ryu is the so-called "true warrior"
30+ years in the same stinking gi......no wonder the only guy who can hand his keister to him is gouki
well said. plus iori has more dimensions than kyo. kyo is just richboy of flames with the killer left hook. iori has a good backstory.
spidey's cooler no doubt. but punisher is more badass than anyone from Marvel including wolverine. to me cool=badass and that's why my equation differs from yours. still, spidey is cool alright. everybody loves spidey.
punisher>>wolverine
and yes, punisher movie was sadly underrated. the crowd probably wanted him to use the whole lameass wirefu and all the other bullet dodging bull. punisher is the coolest cuz:
-he's badass
-he pwns people despite being a normal humanbeing
-he has the most impressive arsenal
-his monologues rock
-his story and character are cool (flawed to the max)
-and he pwned wolverine, spidey AND daredevil all by himself. TWICE.
-the only person who ever stopped the hulk.
Wolvie @ his most well written is as cool as Pun. Pun's waaaaaaay cooler than Fanboy fuel Wolvie though. Spidey's stopped the hulk too(PIS it would seem). When & how did Pun do it?
Kyo's cool & that's why he's so damn popular. His background ain't as cool, but his storyline is sometimes. It's hard to look cool @all when compared to the ultracool Iori, but Kyo still does. Respect him dammit!!!!!!!! & Ryu washes his gi! There are pictures dammit!!!!
