Well, I havnt encountered any minigames aside from a blackjack type game in the casino.
But I wouldnt be surprised if they're was later on.
I remember that card game, it was pretty fun.
Instead of dogfight battles, I guess you compare them to the thresher mews battles. Basically, its like those Dune worms and you battle them in your car.
It is Saturday. Four days after release and my game still has not arrived. I expect a written apology from Amazon.com with a $100 gift card and free express shipping.
What weapons can the Vanguard master? Because I want to start a new campaign with another guy who can use biotics and weapons but the Sentinel can only "master" the assault rifle....
If the story wasnt so well imagined. This game would be tedious and redundant. Why does everyone keep commenting on the graphics as being a huge step in a new direction? The environments are bland and claustrophobic. The vehicle controls are pathetic. Possibly, the worst ive ever played excluding the bike sequences in tomb raider legends. Thank god the story and battle system is enjoyable. Does anyone else feel this way? I am impressed by the facial molding, but have the graphics and game play disappointed any one else? Im not saying its a bad game, just leaves very much to be desired

At first, I wanted to snipe and machinegun but the handgun is pretty powerful and the shotgun is deadly up close. Both of them combined with the biotic powers creates probably the best class in my opinion.
The vanguard masters the pistol and shotgun i believe. I am playing with the Vanguard. You might be better off just going with the soldier if its weapons you want. The Vanguard's ability to use weapons and biotics is useless until the end, and then your using primarily your biotics, because you spent your talent points upgrading your biotics over the weapons or vice verse.

After I reach level 60 I'm gonna create a new char.....I want someone with biotics so it's either a Sentinel an Adept or a Vanguard.
Don't know which one yet.

I haven't played my Mass Effect since the day it came out partly for those reasons. I'll give it a shot this week. The graphics kinda do suck. I hate the way it looks when you die. It's just this morose, monotone sound with the dizzy/groovy pink/red kaleidoscope thing going on.
But if the gameplay's good it should make up for the graphics somewhat.

If you say the graphics suck, thats just stupid. They may not be the revolution people were projecting, but they in no way suck, this is an incredibly beautiful game.
I beat the game Saturday as a soldier, kinda skipping all the sidequests. Once I got off the Citadel and started planet hopping, and the story kicked in, I got sucked in. Im playing through again as a vanguard with a different backstory, and im going through the sidequests. Its fun seeing all the things I didnt notice, much like the 2nd and 3rd time I played KoToR.
If I have one complaint, its that I hate driving the Mako. Reviewers said it was like driving a warthog, but that is no where near the truth. The second you try to reverse, you are ****ed.

How is it stupid. It's my opinion. Just because you disagree with it it's stupid? Well how stupid is that..
Graphically my standards pretty high. I use/rate top games on a scale like for example Gears of War and that's at a 10. BioShock, Assasins' Creed and Call of Duty 4 at 9 and so on and so forth. Halo 3's at 6 and based on that, and so far with what I've seen through playing the game, graphically Mass Effect's at 5 to me.

Its half and half. There isnt much to the leveling, but the real RPG elements are the conversations and sidequests. There is a lot of combat, but its secondary to the story being presented.
Well then I guess I meant to say your opinion is stupid, my mistake. lol
Personally this game is only behind Call of Duty and Gears of War no matter how much I may not like the look, I cant deny the graphics.

Anyways, did anyone who has finished the game [SPOILER - highlight to read]: save the council at the end? I sure as hell didnt, I wish it would of shown their reactions rather than the pilots. I loved the ending, and it did a great job setting up the next two games.
