You can be limited physically, energy, and magic wise but if you happen to have a portable device that creates Black Holes it would be ok to use just as long as it isn't cosmic in nature like the HOTU?

What happens if someone like... I dunt know... Venom, has one-punched Spider-Man before?
Plus, how do you compare a character to Spider-Man level, without directly using Spider-Man? Anything other than a direct comparison should turn into ABC logic...
Also, I thought we were using Spider-Man as a cap earlier in the tourney.
Spider-Man has never been the cap. This is a low meta level tourney. Spider-Man is just the figurehead for the tier. I could just have easily said it was a "Beast Level Tourney" or a "Sabretooth Level Tourney".
The caps are on the characters standard base attributes in direct combat, not what they are capable of doing given enough time to prepare and gather resources for a fight. If that were the case a majority of the characters drafted would be banned because given time they could become more formidable or get their hands on something.
...the symbiotes are in the mid meta tier in the comics forum. So this seems like a valid question to me, even though Spidey isn't the cap in and of himself.
I'll lend my voice of support for my partner's quibbles with Desaad, and pretty much any other character who has herald level tech. It's like saying everything we do has to be at low meta, but then creates a caveat for people to bring in planet busting tech. There's no amalgamation involved...it's just 1 character using their resources to make themselves and presumably others far beyond the caps.
This is similar to my initial complaint for power copying, so I'm not expecting anything to be done, given the reaction to my earlier complaints. I just wanted to voice my concern.
The ramifications will be more far reaching than just Desaad. If you want me to ban a character for the possibility of utilizing tech that could bring down a low meta there are at least 6-7 other characters that will go with him, and many of you are campaigning from a glass podium.
I'm not going to ban a character simply because it's a smart pick. You've all drafted under the same rules and all had the same options. Desaad is legal unless there's proof of a rule violation. Otherwise, Evil Pee-wee is safe.
There's no intelligence cap, and the character caps are on the character's base abilities, not what they could do given time to prepare for a fight.

Ill, I certainly don't mind everyone bitching about desaad, as you know who my back up is. I don't want 6 or 7 characters banned becuz everyone is upset at my pick. That sounds like it could ruin a good tourney. If it becomes a problem, I'd MUCH RATHER use my THIRD pick. Teee heee heee.

MY next pick has no standard base, no super powers, no standard tech, actually he uses no tech ever at all. As i said, Alone, he is the weakest guy in comics and leech could kick his ass even tho he already has no powers. But On my team, everyone would be very afraid. Now I don't like the bitching and I'll withdraw desaad from the running if people don't like my picksthat aregoing for intelligence rather than brute force. And I dont' want 6 or 7 characters kicked becuz of it. Even tho it seems that many of the characters have the ability to grab uber tech. And please remember that Desaad has no powers. No standard tech. No standard equipment. He's just a super genius.

He has no standard equipment. He's not a fighter. Can he get his hands on one. don't know. The New genesis people have most of the ones I"ve seen. i have seen the apoks with father boxes as of late.
Just curious, like just about everyone on my team I don't have a problem with Desaad. Everyone who's bitching about him right now should remember that he only has 10 minutes and he can only access Apokolips tech during one battle.
