Decent popcorn flick, but nothing special to me.

The Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow fight was weak.

I may see the sequel, and, if I do, I hope that the next fight scene will be loads better. I bet dollars to donuts that SS didnt die. He'll be back. He's too integral to Snake Eyes' character, and he's a popular villain.

Yeah, SS'll be back as some kind of cyborg ninja.

I agree with that. Also, I thought Cobra Commander was way lame.

Course he'll be back, and with a bigger role so they say.

I will be looking forward to this, hopefully they don't pull a TF2 and fudge it up.

saw this again. i basically still like it just as much as when i saw it in theatres but i saw it even more closely and i did see a sort of commercial element to it. like the movie seemed liked a flamboyant or pop version of gi-joe.

like every single shot or practically everything that was said had to look and sound very cool.

w/evs'.

they should make the sequel rated R and less poppish.

If you didn't notice this from the trailer then I don't know what to tell you.

That's pretty much all it was ever going to be.

There isn no commercial "element". It couldn't get more commercial if they had sponsors on their suits.

In all honesty, if Duke stopped mid fight, turned to the camera and said:

"Taking down Cobra can be hard work, that's why I use Gatorade! It replenishes all the nutrients lost from a day's work fighting super-terrorism.".

I'd have just shrugged and expected it.

You kept up your Marciano-esque streak of posts that are supposed to be bitingly witty, but aren't in the slightest.

Congrats.

We're both winners today, it seems!

And apparently you misunderstood me giving you a heartfelt compliment for being witty.

No. I'm the winner today.

ha.

you're exaggerating, of course. you make it sound like they did product placement. but what i meant was that it was more pop that meant to advertise cool than the cartoon show which was it's own half hour hasbro commercial really.

ok now that was funny. i imagined Duke, while saying all this, catching a towel someone outta view threw at him, only to dab the sweat from the side of his neck, throw the towel back and catch an orange gatorde, gulping the sucker down and afterwards sighing satifactorily and smiling his arse off while crushing the empty bottle.

but i got your point..
