well done to Mayweather, I was hoping it would go down to the wire but Mayweather is very very good with his tactics and likes to play in traps, unfortunatly for me Hatton played the bait.
Very brave from Hatton tho, usually you see people stay down for good as soon as they bounce off the ropes.
43-1...still amazing

what can you say about that...Hatton did well to cut the ring off like he said he would but mayweather precision was top and those couple of punches to floor hatton were ace
at last a top boxing match again, like in the 1990´s
Mayweather is a cheating prick, holding, elbowing. What happened to "I´m going to go toe to toe", he´s full of shit.
hatton got a point taken off for hitting on the back of the head, what happened a minute later when Mayweather did the same.
The Ref stopped the in fight, Hattons specialty.
Amazing, a Sporting competition where an America fights a foreigner and ALL judges American & the REF is American. In what other serious sport can this situation happen. I´d like to see a world cup final Germany v Brasil with a Germand referee and lines men.
But thats the way it is, and this is a welterweight mirror of what would have happened in a Tyson V Ali fight.
And the fans, brilliant. Didn´t hear the yanks

As an Englishman, I hate to say it, but I heard rumours of this fight coming together months ago, and felt it was suicide for Hatton to take it
I posted such material in the boxing thread months and months back, and damn, I was proven right (wish I hadn't been), Floyd Mayweather won the fight, simple as that, we can all spit crap about him cheating, but the bottom line is that he won, he was the better man on the night, he just looked head and shoulders above Hatton, and to be honest, I always said his style is awful for someone like Hatton, it is like trying to beat water with fire, Mayweather has talked a big game all week, and I must admit, I thought he was just talking a good game and that Hatton would take him, was that blind patrionism or a gut instinct?? I don't know, but the bottom line is Mayweather was better, Hatton's gameplan was so not the way to go against Mayweather, and I honestly believe Mayweather will beat anyone put in front of him, Hatton is the toughest fight he will ever have, because he and Mayweather are the two best in the division, if Cotto goes up against Mayweather, you will see that I am right
Hard luck to Ricky Hatton, gave it his all though, but you get the feeling he still isn't entirely comfortable at this weight, my true British hero is Calzaghe, always has been, but Hatton is a close second for best British fighter today
Calzaghe vs. B-Hop seems to be coming close, judging from their exchange at the weigh-in.....Calzaghe will/would destroy him
Did you guys really think Hatton was going to win or where you guys just showing loyalty to Hatton? Because there was no way he was going to win this fight.

I don't really know of boxers, I had heard of Hatton.
But you can't say one would loose until the end of the match, what would have happened if Hatton had won, I never bet who the winner is until the last minute.
