Actually it can be argued that he did in order to look weak to anakin and need assistance when George Lucas explicitly states that sidious was faking weakness. Yeah, for all his power, Sidious' precog seem to really suck. That could be due to his arrogance and makes sense the way Dark Side powers work (fueled by passion, rage and other strong emotions). His power (other than his raw power, I mean) lie in his ability to manipulate others and to "cloud" others' precog over a huge area (how he was able to hide order 66 from the Jedi council acknowledged by Yoda in the movie IIRC).

You mistook that out of context. What we saw onscreen was that he lost but he threw the fight so he won the fight. He lost onscreen but he actually won the fight sense he is the better duelist. I will make this clear so everyone will understand. Onscreen without commentary or anything what we see is sidious lost. That is what I mean by he lost the battle. However add in all the commentary and common sense and logic and your brain then you know sidious threw the fight.
I disagree. He can't predict the future and needed all his focus on windu. He was disarmed and manipulated from his position at that point. That was his only play since windu had him dead to rights.
