Poser Rock (a comedic hard rock song condemning emo and pop punk bands)
Verse 1
Rock bands shouldn't have "disco" in their name
Romance with chemical substances is to blame
I'll "make damn sure" I crush their albums with a truck
They make me "Fall Out" of my chair, because they all suck
Chorus
I'm gonna go to the store and tear all their posters down
If I see another emo kid wearing a frown
I'm gonna smash all the albums that they have in space
I'll do it, too! 'Cause I hate poser rock
Verse 2
They aim for cuteness but look like shit
How can any of their songs turn into a hit?
These boys like girls, or so they say
With the way they look, I'm surprised their not gay!
Chorus
I'm gonna go to the store and tear all their posters down
If I see another emo kid wearing a frown
I'm gonna smash all the albums that they have in space
I'll do it, too! 'Cause I hate poser rock
Guitar Solo
Verse 3
When you say hello, I say goodbye
Your shitty ass music makes everyone cry
You may be popular and get lots of exposure
But that don't make a difference, 'cause to me, you're still a poser
Chorus
I'm gonna go to the store and tear all their posters down
If I see another emo kid wearing a frown
I'm gonna smash all the albums that they have in space
I'll do it, too! 'Cause I hate poser rock
Bands Made Fun of in this song:
Fall Out Boy
Panic at the Disco
My Chemical Romance
Taking Back Sunday
Boys Like Girls
Cute is What We Aim For
Hellogoodbye
As always, feedback would be greatly appreciated...
We Won't Change (a tongue-in-cheek song about how immature the male gender can be)
Verse 1
Back in the day, 1886
Guys used to get real drunk and fight to get their kicks
Fast forward many years and you think we've come real far
That's not the case, one drew a penis on your car
Chorus
When will we ever learn?
To stop being immature
I don't think we ever will
Verse 2
Back in the 80s, "kick me" signs were kool
They were seen in every show and inside every school
You don't see them anymore, so you must be real proud
'Cept now we laugh when we hear "homo" screamed real loud
Chorus
When will we ever learn?
To stop being immature
I don't think we ever will
Guitar Solo (similar to the one in Motley Crue's song "Primal Scream")
Chorus
When will we ever learn?
To stop being immature
I don't think we ever will
We'll always be the same
Thinking life is just a game
You can bet that we won't change
Without You (a song about a break up, but it's not sappy, it's more angry and antagonistic) (I just kinda threw it together)
Verse 1
It's not the time or place to tell me
But you know that I see
The way you look at other guys
I can see... You can't disguise
The way you talk to other dudes
They made an offer you couldn't refuse
Chorus
But that's alright, that's ok
I didn't need you anyway
I'm just fine, you know it's true
I'm finding a way without you
Verse 2
And once you finally decide to say
That you want to go a separate way
I won't find it a very big shock
'Cause I caught you suckin' on another guy's...
Chorus
But that's alright, that's ok
I didn't need you anyway
I'm just fine, you know it's true
I'm finding a way without you
Guitar Solo (fairly long and pretty technical for a "pop metal" song)
Chorus
But that's alright, that's ok
I didn't need you anyway
I'm just fine, you know it's true
I'm finding a way without you
Chorus
But that's alright, that's ok
I don't need you anyway
I'm just fine, you know it's true
I'm finding a way without you
The Fallen (this song is a tribute to all those that died in combat during World War II. It's got country music influence, but I'd say it also has some hard rock in it)
Verse 1
I'll tell ya 'bout a guy, his name was Jack
He was patriotic, and signed up for the attack
He became a soldier for the government
To the coast of Normandy was where he was sent
Pre-Chorus
And he didn't come back
From the attack
Poor ol' Jack
Verse 2
Now I'll tell ya 'bout another guy, his name was Dan
He was eager to fight, and win against Japan
He swore he'd be a hero, he swore it every day
Then he got his chance to prove it at Midway
Pre-Chorus
He never gained fame
Everyone forgot his name
It's such a shame
Chorus
They're the fallen, of World War II
They're the fallen, and they knew what to do
They're the fallen, fighting beside their crew
They're the fallen, and they died for me and you
Guitar Solo
Verse 3
Now I think I've told you all I know
The trip ends here, that's the end of the show
But every time you see a flag in the air
You'll think of them, and you'll say a prayer
Chorus
They're the fallen, of World War II
They're the fallen, and they knew what to do
They're the fallen, fighting beside their crew
They're the fallen, and they died for me and you
i do like it its sturcture just seems a little flawed...id say your were focusing on the ending rhyme more than the all out rhythm...but maybe its just me...

Everyone interested in getting a band together wants to either do screamo music or pop punk... Aren't there enough of those bands already?
For some reason, nobody is interested in old school hard rock (ACDC), classic metal (Iron Maiden), hair rock (Ratt), or even a little classic hardcore punk (Minor Threat)...
I haven't gotten any inspiration recently, so I've been a dry well when it comes to lyrics...
But I'm sure once school starts up again, I'll have inspiration...
Man, you should just get garage band for your computer and buy a guitar, if you dont already have one. You need to be creating music as much as you do lyrics. The music will inspire lyrics. You are a good songwriter, keep at it man, because screamo is dogshit and everyone knows it except screamo's. you da man. You want to bring back a little soul to the rock and roll scene...,Rock on partner, rock on.

These aren't lyrics, but they're pretty kool poems I wrote this week (school, of course, gave me inspiration for no apparent reason)
"Comatose"
Unable to move, the light is no more
Can't feel my body, what more is in store?
For me as I lie here, detached from the rest
My heart barely beating from inside my chest
Gravity seems doubled, I'm kept in my place
And bandages cover my emotionless face
I don't know if it's forever, or a temporary curse
But at least I'm still breathing, it could have been worse
"Ignorance"
Dumb in body, dumb in mind
Dumb in evil, dumb in kind
Break the chains of ignorance that bind
Maybe then you won't be so blind
"Evil"
Evil young, evil old
Evil does just as it's told
"History"
Look back on what has come before
Even if you find it a chore
Learn from the mistakes of the old ways
And lead our world into brighter days
"The Girl"
I hear your name, though it is not said
Think of you when I go to bed
I dream of a day when I'll cross that line
With shyness gone, I'll make you mine
But until that force is found in me
All I can do is think of thee
I promise I'll find the words to say
So you don't drift farther away
Because when you're laughing and having fun
Your beauty shines just like the sun
"Wanderer" (this one is pretty damn awesome)
Now here's a story I know will not bore
About a wanderer, who walked into my store
He looked around, his face could depress
Until it lit up when he picked out a dress
"It's for my wife", he said with a grin
So I rang up the dress, a dab of blood on his chin
"Why so dressed up?" I asked him at once
"We're going somewhere important", he said without fuss
On his suit was a name tag, "Josh Daniels" it said
In the paper that morning, I read he was dead
He and his wife had died in a car crash
While driving downtown for a big birthday bash
When I looked behind me, to pick up the paper
Mr. Daniels was gone, he left with the reaper
I've been away for a LONG time, but I can finally present to you:
The EPIC Round 20 of Bat Dude's Song Lyrics!!! *Falls on the floor panting*
Cookie-Cutter Universe (A song about how cookie-cutter fads control the way teenagers think) (This, imo, is my worst thus far. I don't know, it just doesn't seem to flow too well, but I'll let you be the judge of that)
Verse 1
There's not much diversity at my school
Within these walls there's an unspoken rule
You either listen to 50, or you listen to Panic!
One day soon, those fads will sink like Titanic
Chorus
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
Loss of creativity and only gonna get worse
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
The fads control us but we can break the curse
Verse 2
Go a little further and it branches into flicks
Two types of movies control these dudes and chicks
Horror films being remade all the time
And the amount of parodies should really be a crime
Chorus
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
Loss of creativity and only gonna get worse
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
The fads control us but we can break the curse
Verse 3
That's not all, they've invaded TV
Reality shows are all we can see
They're always there, on every station
As if they can't come up with a new creation
Chorus
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
Loss of creativity and only gonna get worse
We're in a cookie-cutter universe
The fads control us but we can break the curse
Verse 4
I believe I have told you all I know
So I'll provide a direction from which to go
Bring back diversity in our movies and shows
And in music, talk about women, and not about "hos"
