Most events took place off screen, so you will have to turn to JR with questions revolving territory and forces. There's been a timeskip of three years, during which time the Imperial Alliance has conquered more systems and expanded in size (Or so I've come to understand)
The ancient Sith Rhonin has risen and is now also participating in the battle for the Galaxy, having conquered the system Pressado III, killed the ruling Hutt and intending on furthering his onrush. Uninvited guests has come onboard his ship now, and he's still somewhat in Pressado III orbit.
The seer Q'Anilia vanished for a period of time, only to appear recently on Pressado III, where she has patiently waited for Rhonin after one of her visions. She attempted to take him out, but failed utterly and is now his prisoner on the ship.
Darth Banis has also returned after a galaxy-spanning journey. She ventured however with the intent not to conquer, but to grow in power, and one revealed location she had visited was Korriban, and implied she lost a lot of men and came across a lot of trouble there. She's now back with the Imperial Alliance on Hoth.
