Nero has some big shoes to fill as the new protagonist in the series.
Nero's attire consists of blue jeans, a long blue coat, and a red vest with a hood. He wields a revolver named Blue Rose, which has a distinctive under-and-over double barrel, and a decorated single-edged sword called the Red Queen. His english voice (as well as the motion capture) is done by former Power Ranger Johnny Yong Bosch.
As Nero chases Dante throughout the game, the unsuspecting Nero comes across a comspiracy involving several high-ranking members of the Order, including the supposedly-deceased high priest, Sanctus. His romantic interest is Kyrie, the sister of Credo, captain of the guard.
