Yep, they wouldn't do if they can't.
There has been numerous times when a league takes over for a franchise. Prime example is the Montreal Expos.
I would suspect they want to buy it so they can find another suitor for the team instead of Basille.

So does anyone think what Heatley did was wrong??? I think so, he's making himself look real bad in the NHL.

Not sure if this was discussed, but heard that Theo Fleury is making a return? Isn't he 45+?

I think he is roughly around 40 or so.
About Heatley, I don't know. It depends on if the player went to the media and complained or complained to the team and the media got ahold of it somehow.
I think a player can have the ability to ask for a trade if the situation he is in is not working.

Ya, but when they have a team to trade with and then refusing to waive his no trade clause just makes him look really bad, i think yzerman isnt gonna bring Heatley on to Team Canada because of what he is doing, he should've either stuck with sens and have limited ice time and play on the second power play or he should've just gone to oilers.

Now, he's playing for the Sharks with Thornton as his C. Can't really say he didn't do well by asking for a trade.

Who knows but you can say the same thing about going to the Oilers.
In the end, he got what he wanted. He wanted out of Ottawa, to a contender and be a big player on that team. Considering the Sharks do not have a sniper like Heatley, I'm pretty sure they will give him all the ice time Heatley wants.

I don't know if you want to have people predicting the winner because you rarely see them winning it.
In the end, the Penguins will always be contenders in the playoffs for the next 5-6 years.

so the 92nd NHL season will start in a couple of days, I can't wait. A lot of teams look like potential contenders for the cup this season.

Hell yes!
I was well impressed with their early performances. That New York series felt like playoff Hockey.
I was concerned about losing Scuderi but it looks like he will be among the other forgotten names that used to play for Pittsburgh, within a few weeks.

I would wait until half the season over before saying there are not going to miss Scuderi.
They'll miss him when injuries start to happen.

Kings got lucky this game. I don't think they looked great, neither did the Sharks.
