He's also one of the most powerful in the village. There is nothing Jiraiya has over him except skill and Naruto has his inspiring nature in it's place. But his spamming of shadow clones gets him places sometimes. He's fooled a few people with it.

remember, naruto's shadowclone greatly reduces the time frame to sharpen any skill he has to learn. if they do another time skip when things cool down(most likely this will happen) naruto will show some insane skill and his legend will grow around konoha.
Yea sure with shadow clone he can learn jutsu faster than most..Still doesn't make him that skilled. He's by far one of the least skilled in Konoha. He's got tricks up his sleeve sure every once in a while but it's mostly just spam shadow clones until he can hit with Rasengan unless he's using Kyuubi. I don't see that changing much.

since the first time skip, naruto's attitude changed making him more normal compared to the other rookie nine. heck, pre-timeskip he defeated kiba, neji, and upstaged sasuke several times.
like you said he has a miraculous way of getting stronger quickly and i read that naruto is a genius in his own way.
Kiba is weak, and he tricked Neji with shadow clone like I said he does sometimes. Never beat Sasuke even though he was always stronger pre-TS. And Naruto's only real talent is his trickster nature that seems to be forgotten a lot and nearly unlimited stamina.

Kiba was far from weak. He held his own quite quite well against Sakon and Ukon. Sakon and Ukon killed quite a few ninjas along on their journeys with Kimimaro.(Remember their adventures before the Konoha invasion?) Neji is quite seriously, one of the top three gennins at the time of the Chuunin exams.
Kiba has always been the weakest out of the genin fighters though...not counting like Ino and Sakura. And when he ran from Ukon and Sakon he had also had a lot more time to train than when he went against Naruto, and underestimated him. Not to mention Naruto was weakened during that fight and sill pulled off the cloning and tricks he did. That Kiba was the only one to actually loose his fight has to say something. Well counting the ones against the Sound Four. Kimimaro died or he would have won but he was Orochimaru's first choice as a vessel for a reason. Naruto lost to Sasuke aslo but Naruto wasn't trying to kill Sasuke like the Sound Four being fought against with killing intentions.
As for Neji like I said it's one of the times he actually used shadow clone to trick somebody and win. Not that I think he should've actually beaten Neji or at the very least not tricked him like that when Byakugan can see through stuff. But Neji was arrogant also.
@Kandy - Naruto starting a war is just in itself pointless to even think. I could see your point in people attacking Konoha because Naruto is an idiot and taking advantange of him but seriously do you even believe Naruto would start a war himself? A pointless war at that? I think the fact he's the nine-tails would probably stop some of them from attacking him though if they even considered it only because of his naive nature.

My point: Naruto doesn't think through the consequences of his actions. Wars that seem like a no brainer would get started even though a bit more research might have shown it was useless.
The problem I have with that is Naruto starting a war. I can't possible see Naruto starting any kind of war. Being part of a war sure because somebody attacked Konoha thinking it was weak because Naruto is so naive or joining one with the Sand while Gaara was still Kazekage at the most but not starting his own.

Because he probably won't go to any other country. How many times do the Kage's every travel outside their country. Naruto would have no reason to go anywhere except possibly to the Sand to visit Gaara if he even got the time to do that.

lol, I didn't mean he would physically charge... I meant he would retain that "full speed ahead" mentality and apply it to his war policy, deciding without looking everything over.
lol I thought you meant meeting a Kage that was ruthless with his people and so Naruto would attack to change that. Sort of like him against Neji. I don't think Naruto would have a war policy to actually start with but yea..if he did start one I do agree he'd not consider anything and just charge in head first which wouldn't really be smart. But I never accused Naruto of being smart. But I'm sure Sakura could get him to listen to reason along with Shikamaru's and Neji's plans if it came down to that. Which are three people I think would be on his council of advisors.
