The only reason I submitted mine so quickly was because I thought we only had a month, and I knew I was going to be busy for the rest of the month...I now have this week off from work and the contest is being extended...
so I could have just waited until now to do my sig,
this actually sucks.
If I knew we had more time I could have made a better sig.
You had a month. Busy or not, a month is a long time and you undoubtedly had other time to do it. You could have even made the signature when you did, then hung onto it for a while while you tweaked it every now and then, which is what many have done in the past. So if you don't get that chance, you still have a completed sig to turn in, but have the opportunity to improve it as well.
So my apologies for the extension, because it still could possibly be a legit gripe for you. But in the scheme of things, it shouldn't be a big deal, and if 4 weeks weren't enough for you but an extra week means a much better signature, you have yourself to look at as much as anyone else.

Pffft......Like I am gonna lose any sleep over it. Seems the rules are being enforced a bit militant. I posted my anime sig I was GONNA enter in my sig thread, BTW.

Well then you should have posted it to begin with.
I'm generally pretty good about letting things slide but not for contests. It defeats the entire point of it if someone doesn't follow the rules and then gets a second chance, and isn't fair on those who did read the rules and entered properly.
