I didn't think it was all the bad of a movie if your looking for pure action but they don't follow any sort of plot line, it just kind of comes out of the blue with the film beginning with spec op mercs falling in free fall.

They should adapt the cold war; predator comic

I thought that suited it and was the point since that's how they felt, suddenly awake to find themselves falling, 'out of the blue'.

They will have to change one of the characters tho... since they done that to the previous story Concrete Jungle.

As it is they went somewhere else with Fishburne's character that was just boring really and a huge chance missed.

[quoted from the Disappointing Films thread]

I watched this again.. and I still actually really enjoyed it. A very fun little sci-fi film. A hell of a lot better (for sure) than the atrocious AvP movies (somehow the second managed to be worse than the first!) I only have pretty much the same complaints as I did the first time I saw it...

I really didn't mind Laurence Fishburne's character. I thought he was funny and a nice twist. Not a stupid twist. When he sort of betrayed them all. It worked cuz he was a little detached from reality with his imaginary friend he kept talking to... haha. But the problem I had was Topher Grace's little betrayal at the end. That was retarded. "I'm a killer, so I'm gonna kill you for no reason just cuz I like it here." I mean, what did he have to GAIN from that? She just helped him instead of leaving him there to die. And then after he cut her, he walks just fine. And there was no indication for how Adrien Brody knew that Topher was lying (other than the fact that he's an all-knowing badass, of course). I think this is an example of over-writing. I didn't think it was necessary. The situation was interesting enough that it didn't need that added twist. It made an interesting contrast to the murderer guy who was on deathrow, cuz HE turned out to be kind of a nice dude. But still, should have been eliminated in editing. But other than that, I don't think it's a disappointment at all. Most everything else was quite tastefully done and highly entertaining. Oh, the sword fight between the Chinaman and the predator was a little silly, but I'll forgive that. haha

I'd really like to see this continued... it was fun. Right where it left off. Have him hop aboard a ship somehow and see where it goes... another gaming planet... this series could go on FOREVER.. lol

^ I just want Arnold to be dropped on the planet. Then they can have Arnold and Brody be the last 2 alive. Have the movie show the two as total badasses until the end, when they have to fight the most skilled predator. Have the predator kill Brody, then have Arnie kill the Predator, showing that he is the superior of the two.

Danny Glover was pretty hardcore. Shavin his face made me totally forget that guy who craps from Lethal Weapon.
