Chatper One: Another Lie

Was it all over? It was like another bad dream. The scar on his head no longer hurt. Yet, he still felt the pain vaguely. Only one week passed. Only one week since the death of Voldemort. One week since the death of so many people. So many lives lost. Oh so many.

No more Privet Drive. It didn't really dawn on him. No more living iwth the Dursley's. He was on his own. It didn't feel the same. Nothing felt the same. Nothing...nothing at all.

And what was he going to do with his life? There was no more Hogwarts. The school was closed for the time being. It wouldn't be open for quite a while. Everything was still in mass chaos, even after the death of Lord Voldemort.

A small, a very faint breeze went by him. Harry swore he heard a snap, like the one Dobby used to make. He looked around. No one was there.

"Harry?"

His initial reaction made him unsheathe his wand and directed it at the person who spoke. Damn. It was only Ginny. And to think he thought it was something else.

"Bloody hell Harry! Must you do that?"

He muttered his apologies, though he really didn't mean it. Even after the war, Ginny barely spoke to him. She barely spoke to anyone. He understood that. Somewhat. They were on...decent terms...before. He heard rumors from people that it was because Potter was a magnet for death. Maybe that was true. So what? He was also the bringer of death. He killed Voldemort. He killed the Dark Lord that brought fear to so many hearts.
