SECTION 15 - SPECIAL DEDICATION; WOLVERINE VS. SPIDERMAN

While these two had met before on shakey grounds at best in an X-Men team-up it wasn't until Secret Wars that Spiderman and Wolverine actually got a chance to measure eachother up in person. Wolverine, underestimates Parker and it costs him a bit of humiliation, Wolverine's pretty embarrassed though Spiderman's smack does next to nothing as Wolverine's immediately on his feet again.

In their second and probably most famous encounter, Wolverine and Spiderman met at odds when Wolverine was forced to attempt to kill his lover to save her from a fate worse than death, Spiderman being who he is rushes into a situation that isn't his business. He gives Wolverine everything he's got and seemingly puts him on the defensive for a while, Wolverine also puts up an amazing display of speed that has Spiderman considering that Logan may very well be faster than himself, Wolverine eventually manages to land three positions on Spiderman that could have easily been killshots but he's not out for blood, when the fight ends in what Spidey assumes is a stalemate, we see that while Wolverine's quick to dissapear from the scene, Spiderman's fatigue/adrenaline/and stress has already caught up to him:

I've seen arguments that stated that Wolverine simply couldn't hit Spiderman in the graveyard and that it had nothing to do with him holding back, I disagree, and one of the major reasons why I disagree is because immediately after that battle in Spectacular, Logan tracked Pete down to talk to him a bit. With one noncholant swing he was able to rip through Parker's clothing before Parker could even react:

In their next encounter, it's fairly clear that IF Wolverine did have any inability to legitimately tag Parker that had nothing to do with CIS, he had definitely lost it by this time around; Spiderman attacks Wolverine from behind and up top thinking he's an imposter, with his back to Spiderman Logan dodges his punch. Logan also manages to smack Peter back a fairly large distance with a single blow, and manages to assert at least SOME degree of superiority to Peter in h2h combat here:

Wolverine being goaded into a rage is attempted to be subdued by Spiderman and Daredevil, in spite of Spiderman's speed, agility, reflexes, and attempt to web Wolverine to a wall, Wolverine tears the wall dwn and drops Spiderman with a nut shot ouch:

Also, couple things:

- Amazing job. Probably recommending this.

- Death's Head II was missing some powers due to the inhibitor collar in their second fight. It was mostly a stalemate anyway, but he wasn't operating at peak.

- Won't get started on the Spidey section. The wording seems unfair to Pete a few times, but it's not his thread either, it's Logan's. Anyway, nice job finding everything though.

I was impressed at pretty much every level by this thread. Mungi/DC-esque.
