All the old jokes aside, in this universe Batman and Robin are actually gay. What happens when their relationship is revealed to the world? Now Batman wants Robin on the League and won't take no for an answer. Wonder Woman is surprisingly supportive, saying "there should be more of us... er, I mean more gay/lesbian people on the team". Kansas farm boy Superman is not so sure... leading to another hilarious Batman-Superman showdown.
What If... J. Jonah Jameson revealed that Spider-Man was a mutant?
For years J. Jonah Jameson has maligned Spider-Man in the Daily Bugle, smearing him a menace and blaming him for everything from vigilantism and crimes to sabotage. He even hired villains and robots to capture or kill Spider-Man. But it's not enough. In this universe, Jonah takes note of the anti-mutant hysteria sweeping the country. Although not buying into it himself, he realizes he can use it - the next day he publishes an expose "revealing" Spider-Man to be a mutant.
Spider-Man denies it, but other than specialists like Xavier or Sentinels, few people have any means of distinguishing mutants from other super-beings. Now the general public hates Spider-Man as a "mutant scum" despite being mostly okay with him previously. Even worse, X-Villains start coming after him, and despite his best efforts he finds himself unwillingly drawn into constant, never ending, and tedious X-storylines...
What if Jack Kirby was still alive/able to work? What would he have done with computers and drawing programs? How might he have influenced the course of Marvel/DC reboots/what-ifs? How might he have influenced the film depiction of characters?

Well this started out promising.
What If was a great comic, but it never went on tangents like the ones in the OP. Might have been interesting if it had, though.
Lots of characters smoked back in the days. Mostly pipes and cigars though.
I only recall seeing bad guys smoking cigarettes.
Bad guys and... (please log in to view the image)
Give him a trenchcoat and he would be Constantine...
Pym is pretty good for What Ifs - I've done a few Pym entries on this thread. Most of them involve him snapping in some way and killing people or causing Ultron to take over the universe, but I think one might have had a happy ending.
When Dick Grayson's parents are murdered Batman takes in as Bruce Wayne's ward and begins training him to take part in Batman's war against crime.
Finally Robin is ready to make his debut. Batman chooses a relatively simple job for their first outing - shutting down a gang drug deal taking place in a downtown Gotham warehouse.
Batman and Robin swing in, taking the thugs by surprise.
"Let's go Robin!"
"Right behind you, Batma--"
By pure chance, a single shot fired blindly by a panicking thug as the gang flees the scene hits Robin square in the head, killing him instantly. He falls from his bat-rope to the warehouse floor below.
Now Batman must explain to the League how he got an unarmed minor killed playing sidekick, and Bruce Wayne must somehow explain to the authorities why his young ward is dead with a bullet through the head and a broken neck - unless, that is, he somehow makes it all go away...
What if the earthquake in Batman: Cataclysm reached 9.5 on the Richter scale and completely destroyed everything in Gotham? In this reality Gotham is completely abandoned as literally nothing is left standing and a large percentage of the population is killed. Batman and the entire Bat-Family make the sad decision to leave forever and move to Metropolis. But how will Superman react when Bruce and his team start dealing with Metropolis crime their way, and even worse, old faces like Joker, Clayface, and Poison Ivy start showing up too?
What If... Cyclops discovered he was not a mutant?
Cyclops finds out from the High Evolutionary that everything he believed about himself being a a mutant is a lie - in fact he shares the same retcon origin as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.
Now he knows his entire life has been based on a false premise and all illusions he carried about being mighty Homo Superior and above mere humanity are shattered - he is just common genetic trash. Cast out of Utopia by the very laws he created to keep the mutant race pure and clean, he becomes a homeless wanderer in a world that hates and fears him, not as mutant but just as a genetically altered guy that nobody likes.
What if... Batman died when Bane broke his back, and he became the new Spectre instead of Hal Jordan?
What if... Batman married Catwoman and as their children grew up the League began to notice the older son bore a striking resemblance to Hawkman and the younger son had blonde hair and could swim really good?
What if... Instead of taking on Robin as his heroic sidekick after witnessing the death of Dick's parents on the trapeze, Batman loved the performances so much he quit crime-fighting, adopted Grayson as his ward and joined the circus as the new "Flying Waynes"?
