It doesn't happen too often to me, but it's just annoying as hell when it does, and it typically occurs when I'm doing something tedious like hunting codex entries, and having to constantly switch in and out of the game.

BTW, the plan is that when I eventually create my Imp characters for the first time, I'll play lightside.
Would people who've played those classes say that would be a good way of playing them for the first time? Or does it fit the story a lot better if they're all evil?

Lightside Sith Warrior is IMO the better way to play. Much more rewarding and interesting. And the Lightsided Warrior is one of the better written characters, you come off as a very mature, intelligent and cool person.
I dunno about Inquisitor though, it seems like it would be rough. The class comes off as very dark-side orientated to me. Maybe you should check out the swtor forums for more info.
Mostly-Lightsided Bounty Hunter is what I went for, though I think for that and the Imperial Agent it makes more sense to come up with a set of ethics than just going balls-out lightside or darkside. I played my Hunter as a professional who always got the job done unless my client lied to me about the job or betrayed me in some way. But who disliked pointless bloodshed and always preferred mercy. I think the Agent also plays better as more Grey than anything, doing what you need to do to carry out the mission.
I played a semi-light side Sith Warrior. As in, I wasn't full on Malgus, but I was still playing him as a Sith more often than not. I had a lot of fun with it, and I'm already looking forward to doing a run as a more evil Warrior.
So yeah, definitely recommend a light-side warrior. Especially with what happens with Jaesa.
Good point, I'll probably go more the grey option, or a different set of ethics. Mainly I was just wondering if it would be okay not going completely darkside.
TBH I'll probably go the alternate ethic set/grey option for every class, aside from the jedi knight and consular, who will be traditional jedi but with the added twist of pursuing all romance options.

I'll probably start up soon with my bounty hunter. I have a bit of a Boy Scout mentality IRL so it's hard for me to go thru with the evil side (except with the dark brotherhood for some reason) *hail Sithis* . So I'll make him a good BH if possible? I don't know why but I can't stand the hack and slash aspect in games so I'll prolly stay away from a Jedi/sith for a while.
Really tempted to create a Jedi Consular and see if I can get by by just doing the class missions, heroics and flashpoints... will be using all manners of xp buffs.

I only plan on doing each heroic and fp once. Might do some of the weekly/daily quests for the pvp as well. So I'll be doing class missions, one run of each heroic and fp, and I'll do the weekly pvp quests (and obv I'll do the daily pvp quests and the fp priority quests as im doing them). I'll also concentrate on crafting as well. With the xp buffs from my guild, legacy unlocks, and the item buffs, I'll probably be okay right? I really just want to do the bare minimum to get through the other class storylines.
