It's been rumored that Angelina Jolie is the front runner for a possible Catwoman...
If this is true, I'm not even gonna watch the movie... I'm sick of them thinking that they have to rotate the major villains in EVERY MOVIE... Just give me Reaper (someone who was never in a Batman film before) and Riddler, and I'll be happy... Most of the fans just want to see Riddler, and that's fine... As long as we don't see EVERY major villain in EVERY movie in BOTH franchises, I'm good... But if Nolan decides to use both Riddler AND Catwoman, I won't watch the movie, no matter how good it is...
I will, because I love Batman. And I have no problem with them using Catwoman, but I'd prefer we see Two-Face again. If not, maybe Deadshot and Killer Croc.

I kind of want to see Catwoman...it'd give Batman a love interest to work with that's really intriguing. I'd like to see Catwoman & Riddler maybe or have her team up with a villain that hasn't been seen yet...like Bane.
I'd honestly love to see Clayface...too bad that won't happen.

But seeing the same villains OVER AND OVER AND OVER again?
I mean, in the span of 6 films, we've seen both Joker and Two-Face twice... And then we've had Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman once already... If we're getting Two-Face to return, that's 3 times Two-Face was in a film, and if Riddler is in the next one, that's 2 times for him, and if Catwoman is also in the next film, that's 2 times for her... So in 5 of the 7 films, 4 villains have already appeared multiple times... That means they've been in over half the movies made...
And it's really funny because there are great villains that have NEVER been in a film before... Like Hush, or Reaper, or Talia, or Lady Shiva...
So what? What's wrong with Two-Face returning. I see what you mean, but we've technically gotten Two-Face once, seeing as he was only done in TDK right once. Btw, I was thinking maybe the Joker should return but I'm not so sure. I really enjoyed Heath's performance and I don't think anyone can top it, but Daniel Day Lewis would be a good choice if they decide to go that route.

Two-Face is actually my favorite Batman villain, so I don't really have a problem with HIM returning...
My point is that the same villains continually rotate between films... If Joker's not in the next one, don't worry, he'll be in the one after that... And Penguin will be in the one after that... And Riddler will be in the one after that... And Catwoman the one after that... And then back to Joker, and the whole thing starts back up again... You get what I'm saying?
I don't want to see the same villains again and again and again... I want to see new villains that haven't gotten the silver screen treatment yet... Like Hush or Reaper or Talia (Talia can be Bruce's love interest, it doesn't have to be Catwoman)
When it comes to Batman, you have to remember that to non comic fans the most notable Bat villains are Joker, Riddler, Penguin and Catwomen. Although these characters were used in the original four movies that were released, it shouldn't mean they cannot be used again...
I think with Nolan's Batman, he's trying to get it right, and to correct many of the mistakes that the original four movies made. This of course means he's going to use some of the more popular villains, villains that have been used in previous movies.
I cannot fault Nolan for using these characters "again and again and again". Whilst trying to create movies that remain true to the comics, Nolan has to use something that will appeal to the wider audience, such as popular villains. It's not Nolan's fault that these guys have been used before, albeit poorly.
If you look at Batman Begins, Nolan used two villains that have never been mentioned before: Ra's al Ghul and Professor Crane / Scarecrow. And it worked. So using unknowns or even new characters from the Bat universe may be the way for a third movie.
If we go back to Begins, there are two villains in that movie that have not been used enough, in my opinion. I think the Scarecrow could play a vital (bigger) role. Let him escape from Arkham. More than anything, that's what I want to see in the next movie; Arkham Asylum. Another dark character Nolan could use, who was introduced in Begins is Zsasz. This dude could give Nolan's third movie the "Seven" angle that many fans believe is needed.
Personally I would like to see Riddler in the third movie, or Killer Croc to keep the "freaks" angle going. I think Nolan could create another successful Batman movie with Riddler as the main villain. And he would do it right (here's hoping anyways...)
Fair enough, but as you mentioned, Begins had characters that the fans might not have heard of before, and it worked... If given the opportunity, Hush could work, Reaper could work, and I see NO reason why Talia couldn't work... Now imagine Two-Face and Hush in the third movie, or Riddler and Reaper... And then add in Talia as a love interest, and you've got two viable movie ideas that don't include all the major villains... Honestly, if any of the following happens, I'd be hard pressed to see the movie when it first comes out in theaters (I'll rent in on DVD, and if it's good, I'll buy it):
-Harley Quinn makes ANY kind of appearance or is mentioned (I HATE the character, and she'd ruin Ledger's amazing portrayal of Joker)
-Catwoman makes an appearance (I don't want to see Catwoman again, especially if she's played by Angelina Jolie)
-Two-Face teams up with Riddler (I don't want to see it again, even if it will be better than last time, let them go their own ways if either of them make an appearance)
-Talia makes no appearance (she's my choice for a love interest, if one needs to be in the movie, plus, she's connected to Ras and the League of Shadows, which means it's easy to explain where she came from. You could do a "revenge/love" thing with her)
Except I don't want Bane. You'd have to get some idiot wrestler or body builder for him. I know Bane may work in Nolanverse, but I hope that is one character he doesn't bring back
No because, I know that Nolan is taking what was before him and making everything better. Also some characters people don't know so I think Nolan may not want to have those characters in his films.
