I'll use Force dodge for the first one.
And I'll go ahead and use an active dodge against the second.

The droids seem almost expectant of your flashy lightsaber twirl, this time, as you roll 7 and 2. They use their shields to break your stride.
However, they are not expecting the greater defense that you take this time. As the first droid tries to punch you in the chest, you blur to one side with a Force Dodge. It rolls 19... instead of a solid blow, it only barely catches your shoulder. 4 damage... which takes you to 62 damage and a -1 penalty.
The second pulls an 8 but that misses.

Going on the defensive has put you behind, and so they will attack again.

Again, Defend does little for you with your opponents on different frames... we'll go for active dodge for the first droid. It rolls 13... well dodged, sir! A miss by two points. The second droid rolls 6, not a chance. You stay evasive this turn!
You Strike with a rapid blow, but a 10 does not penetrate the arm-shield of the first droid.

The droids are back on the same frame, since only one dodged this turn and I was being nice.

And use Twirl again.

The droids roll poorly and you keep clear, fending off their jabs with your lightsaber. You respond by rolling 16 and 11, badly damaging the first as your lightsaber cuts through its chestplate and lightly damaging the second when you slip past its shield. 26 damage to the first and 23 damage to the second.

Xavier to defend. Time to finish this.

One of the droids hits you rather firmly with a 19, giving you 7 damage and a -2 penalty... but you respond with a 20 on your Twirl and split the droid in half at the waist. A 4 is not enough to put down the last droid, however.

Xavier: 10/69/37

Only one opponent remains! At this point I wish to remind you that you have Sabermaster... after you defend against his attack, you may wait a frame to add +1 to your attack score, which may help finish him.
Force pool refresh, as well.

Droid rolls a 4. Miss! With Xavier waiting a frame, he gets +1 from Sabermaster on top of his +2 from Carnival of Carnage MKP bonus and another +2 from his lightsaber MKP bonus... so a skill of 17, even in your injured state, and you roll 15.
Xavier decides to exhibit unusual patience in his fighting style, waiting for an opportune moment with which to strike his foe. After dodging a clumsy attack from the droid, he sees his opening and swipes his lightsaber diagonally through the droid's chest. It stumbles, then falls apart.
Aside from the sparks fizzling from the chopped up droids, it is quiet again.

Looking about the room, you realize that the droids are not the only dismantled figures on the floor. There are skeletons of what must have been pirates that displeased their superiors and been left to be mauled by the droids. Their bones are shattered and scorched, rotting flesh hanging from them just barely. None of the bodies are recent.
There is a door at the far side of the room, locked by a blast door.

Then Xavier will open the door with his handy dandy lightsaber.

The door falls inward, revealing a dimly lit and rusted room beyond.
It seems you have found what you came for! This circular room houses a massive comm unit that takes up the center of the room, surrounded by computer banks. This is the central command room of Svidrigailov's secret base.
There are other rooms branching off from this one, should you choose to investigate them. They are sealed by blast doors.

About time. That was getting ridiculous
"Stop talking," Xavier says to the voice in his head.
He will in fact investigate the other rooms, but until he searches through the command room to find out how to turn off all the traps.

The computer banks are protected by a complex lock system. Luckily, Xavier has Fix-It and rolls a 17, enough to bypass it and get cracking on shutting off the traps. It is another Fix-It check to find the controls for the traps and shut them down... 13 does it. The entrance you took is now secure and free of obstacles!

Now does that mean all traps are turned off?
If so Xavier will go investigate some of the other rooms.

Yes, all traps in the base are deactivated.
Alrighty, Xavier. Four doors, which we will label A, B, C, and D. Which one would you like to slice into?

Sabering down the door...
Holy crap.
You have just stumbled upon the treasure trove of Svidrigailov! It almost hurts to stare upon the heaps of golden coins and priceless statues of pagan idols and sparkling jewels... you could fund your own warfleet with this stuff!
