You sounded quite genuine with your #3 statement. In fact, there's not a single joke hint in there. You were defending your friendship position, and I believed you meant it.
I find it interesting (And demeaning) however, how you decide to know you understand me and at the same time claim I shouldn't try to understand you. You take it as if I was saying that in spite of you when it was in fact just a sincere question. Didn't you just now jump to the conclusion that I said what I said in a negative way? Despite not knowing me, or my background?
To explain myself, something I shouldn't have to (But KMC is KMC): From where do you get the heart to rate your friends means that I'm wondering what these specific friends has done to deserve a variety of positions on your top list.
I have a best friend, but I've never thought about calling her my #1 friend.

Wow and my advice to you Ms. Q is stop interpreting that everything I say to you,marie, tom dick or harry is viewed negatively. It is 4 am here and I'm going back to bed.
