We should also bear in mind that I remember it was previously possible to male an acrobatic roll to jump on top of a STAP, and from there I believe it's possible to take control of it. About these groups of STAPs, are we supposed to make actions trying to find them or do we already know where each group is? Either way we should simply go for the first group for now.
I'll take in Carnival of Carnage as my gun schtick.

The problem is that it is a VERY difficult roll in this environment, as the STAPs will crash very shorty after you de-pilot them as they hit a tree.
Locating the STAPs is easy; they are not subtle. Stopping them all shooting the crap out of you is the trick.

You also have Eye of the Storm, Vlad. I'd get that in, and then a Blade schtick for back-up when you go to saber.

Literally yes, but not really something we write into a swirling fight like this.
You guys get the first move, of course, but I will need to know if you are going in Gun out or Sabre out, and remember your Defence might be crap with a gun.

I'm doubting the wisdom of sending injured Denzral and Kiu in with blasters. They should stick to lightsabers. Vlad has his mobility and schticks to rely on with a blaster, they really don't.

I'm thinking heavy blaster but a targetting rifle seems a better choice since I don't need portability and none of my gun schticks require a pistol.

Feel free! Perfectly reasonable choice. Bear in mind you pretty much have to drop it to draw your sabre though, so don't change until you are ready.

Well, yeah I'll be using the targetting rifle then. I don't think it'll be reasonable for me to have a wookie bowcaster with me so whatever other trargetting rifle is available I'll gladly take. And take two shots at the nearest STAP .

I'd think something like a semi-auto rifle (like the M1 Garand?) could fit that niche. Extra pool and some kick to it, good choice, Vlad. Remember to run n' gun for cover, and CoC requires you to pick two targets but that shouldn't be much of a problem.
Kiu and Denz can choose what they want; pistoling it has advantages in that you can move to cover whilst doing it, while lightsabers ignore armor and you have higher defense. As Vera pointed out, sabering might be better for you guys.
If you guys roll well, you can lay low everyone in five or six turns.
