Baahl feel down and laid still, paralyzed from the blade in its neck. Carpathian panted "we need to move fast. it's closer to a god than i remember, it'll be back up shortly. now lets go" he picked up Lin and ran off again

She sighed and looked back to make sure Mara was following. She was, and she had also grabbed Lin's blade, Carpathian's axe, and his blades. "That's my girl."
Carpathian rolled over and sighed as he gulped for air "me too...promise me you'll never rush into the woods like that. i would hate to go through the same ordeal we just had again"

Carpathian's eyes shot up in shock then shook his head "because it's the truth...i never thought the stories of a beauty like yours was true. now i see the living proof that it is"

Carpathian closed his eyes "stories from my village...they may not have been about you, but they described a beauty like yours. one that could cure a blind man"

She sighed and pulled some bandages from her pack. "That's silly.. Nothing is that beautiful. I'm just a dirty wanderer. There's nothing pretty about rusted armor and messy hair." Mara growled and took a swipe at her when she touched the wounds. Lin rolled back and looked at her in shock. "What's gotten into you?!"
Halo ran her fingers through the waterfall, as the fire roasted her toes. She smiled at Jacc and slipped her pouch down from under her skirt.
"So how do we get you back?" she asked pulling her dreads up with a crimson scarf that she yanked out of her sack.
Jacc shook his head, a bit unsure of how to put it. "It's... complicated to explain, but... I don't think... we can... Not until the war is ended. And unfortunately... That doesn't look to be happening anytime soon." He shrugged, standing and walking over to a far part of the cave, still soaked clean through and resigned from trying to change the fact. "What about you, Halo? What is it like where you're from?"
"Where I'm from, most couldn't survive." she explained sitting down on the rocky surface. She pushed back her dreads revealing her Olympian mark on her neck. "I was in training for the army at 16. They ripped me from my mother and sister. I barely remember them now." she told him, her eyes then shifted and she leaned back. "I don't want to remember those jackoffs, and what they did to me and my family. The Olympian army is feared for a reason, and thats why I hide here. Though I'm sure soon, I will be found. I can feel them close."
Mara growled and hissed loudly at him. Lin watched her friend sadly. "Mara.." She sighed and laid back in the grass. "She's probably in pain from us riding her. We were sitting on her wounds. Just leave her alone and she'll be back to normal soon... Grumpy old cat."
Jacc shook his head. "That's... horrible. I can't imagine the pains of being ripped from your family at such a young age..." He rose to his feet, pacing around a bit before finally allowing himself to break the awkward silence. "Then... Let's fight them. Take down the Olympian Army. It's what Kyrie would tell us to do, if she were here." He allowed himself a bit of time to breathe, the thought of an impending battle being so out of touch from how he would have felt mere moments earlier. "We can take them. I'm sure of it. Between your training and my... Well, I can fight, anyway..."
Carpathian nodded and pulled out some meat from his bag "maybe she might like this...its always a favorite for the cats we kept in the under world" he laid it down and smiled as he sat back down "how are you holding up?"
