So i watched harry potter and the sourcerer's stone for the first time.
Seriously, never saw a harry potter movie or read a book and now i had a question:
how did those MEN ride those broomsticks without slight discomfort, especially on such a bumpy ride and sitting with a forward leaning postion? i know it sounds funny... but that "uber leet" broomstick that harry gets doesnt even have padding.
thoughts? comments?

There are charms on all modern broomsticks--think of it like an invisible cushion. (From Quidditch Through the Ages).

Are the Harry Potter books worth reading even after you've watched all the movies? Absolutely! The movies missed out on a lot of sub-plots that were never brought up in the movies, as well as not introducing a lot of characters for the sake of time and rhythm.
