Jacob sped up a little, trying to avoid all of the infected, as best he could. After about only fifteen minutes of driving, Jacob slowed the truck, pulling into an empty back alley, with plenty of room for movement. Stepping out, he hung his M16A4 over his shoulder with a strap, as well as Yuri and Nikolai. Jacob looked back at the other and nodded a little. "You guys keep going. I know that this seems foolish, but those men are like my brothers. If there is even a slim chance that they are alive, then I have to try. You guys keep moving, and forget about us."

He had determination in his voice and she knew he would not back down. She moved past the others and got into the driver seat of the truck.~ ... We need to keep moving.

"I won't stop you from joining Jason, there's plenty of chances for us to die all around. And as for your comment General, these soldiers saved my ass more times than I can count, so it's only fair that I try and do the same for them." Jacob said with a laugh as the others held their weapons up, holding a small perimeter. "If anything, we'll make the military post over at Mercy, our objective. That's the rally point, acknowledged?"

~General John Anderson stared at Jacob for a moment before nodding.~ I understand. A bulk of my unit was taken out somewhere around here. Perhaps you guys can find them and salvage some gear. We didnt have time to get Dog tags either because of the numbers we faced.... Other than that, We wil lsee you at Mercy. ~John looked at Jason for a moment too but then put his hand on Lilys shoulder.~ Lets get moving. ~Lily nodded her head and put the truck into Drive, giving Jacob one last look and a smile before starting to drive off.~

Jacob smiled a little too, as she started to go off into the distance. As soon as they were out of sight, Jacob released a sigh of relief, pulling the patch off of his fatigues. Underneath was the print of a large Bear's Paw. The others with him did as well, then looked at Jason as if he was the one acting suspiciously.

Jacob stretched and popped his neck. "We're not Russian military. We're Blackwater... well what must be left of it at least. There should still be a few more operatives still at the cities chapter headquarters." Nickolai nodded and slowly inched his way forward, attempting to be as quiet as possible. "If we can make it to HQ, then we can stock up on ammo and some half-assed weapons." Jacob laughed a little, and then looked back at Jason. "I kinda have a thing for her too. Too bad I am most likely not making it out of the city."

Well we need to hurry up and get going.
=Jason pulled up his shirt some so it wasnt tucked in anymore and pulled another clip out from under the shirt. A tiny flash of gold might of been seen. He dropped the clip he had, salvaged the two bullets remaing to pocket them and put the new clip home in the gun. He pulled back on it to chamber the first bullet then checked the sight.=

"Just up ahead. It's our old rally point." Jacob pointed, his arm angled at an old fire escape. He slowly started to move, crouched down, trying to create as little a target as he could. When the team arrived at the fire escape, Jacob ascended first, slowly walking as to not make too much noise. When he arrived at the top, he was greeted by the sight of two of his comrades, and blood. Neither moved, instantly causing Jacob to panic and run over. He knelt by the first body and checked the pulse. When it was no where to be found, he slid away to the next as the others made their way up. "Marcus!" The man that Jacob knelt by breathed weakly, trying to move, but only succeeding in spreading the shell casings laying all around. "Get out of here Book... we were over run.. hours ago. The other made their way towards Mercy.."

=Jason climbed up the ladder after the others had gone up. He looked at the chaos that had happened and didnt seem to react to it. In fact he seemed calm. Calmer then he had been. He then looked at the survivor and narrowed hi eyes. He made his way over and knelt down, examining the bullets for a moment before looking back at the only survivor.=
.... why did the infected not kill him? They usually dont just attack then leave once you have a few scratchs. They beat you and tear you up until theres hardly anything left.... So why the change? why did they leave him alive and kill the others?
=He picked up a few bullet shells=
...Just out of curiosity, what kind of guns do you guys use?

~Lily drove towards Mercy, now and then a group of infected would run after them but would give up in pursuit of the fast moving vehicle. Lilys Father put a hand on her shoulder.~ Are you alright? ~Lily nodded slowly.~ Yeah... just a little... never mind. ~John chuckled a bit.~ Does it have to do with that russian you keep eyeing? Yes I noticed a few times. ~Lily felt her face heat up a little as she drove.~ .. Daddy... We will get to the Hospital way before they do.... When we get there im going back for him... them! ~John just sighed and sat back down. His daughter was stuborned and he learned early that when she wanted to do something, REALLY wanted to, there was no arguing against it. The only one who ever beat Lily in an argument was her mother... and she has been dead for awhile. So he just sat there in silence.~

Marcus attempted to shift his position and look at Jason, but could not move for the pain. "They.. they left me alive, because I was attacked by a lone hunter.. John killed him before he killed me. John was already dying when I got here.." Jacob stood up and looked around, trying to see any others. Gunfire, a flare, movement, a car, anything that would show him where his friends were. "We use mostly military grade weaponry." Jacob said, knowing that Marcus was going to die.

Adam sat silently in the back of the truck. After seeing how many infected there were, he knew there was no chance his family survived. But he still felt guilty for no being able to save them. He looked up to Lily who was driving, then to John who sat near him. "So how far to this military base?" Adam said trying to make conversation.

I knopw this is a hard time for you... but he shouldnt suffer any longer then he will have too. Judging by his wounds he wont last long if we take him and I dout that Mercy has people there to fix him up.
=Jason frowned a little and ppatted Jacobs shoulder once before walking over to the Roof Access door and climbing onto the top.=
the Police Department is not too far. We could go there to get some ammo and such if we..... Never mind. Wow thats alot.
=Jason looked out over the street that went by the police station about 6 blocks down. He could see alot of infected moving out of a side street.=

~John let Lily be and looked to Adam.~ Well if we keep up this pace and we assume we can out run all the infected that comes our way, we should be there within the hour. ~Lily continued to Drive. The normal infected were easy to outrun. However a smoker could snag someone from the truck or a Boomer could block the road. The bile in one of those things could very well cover the windshield, blinding her view of the road. Or worse a Tank could hear the motor and come running. No way they will out run one of those.~

Johnny just sat back and relaxed. Even with all the infected, he could tell this truck would outrun a lot of them.
"So, any chance this military base got some ammo?" He said, trying to keep the mood light. The last thing he needed right now was to be quiet and let the mood get dark. He'd think of his wife and kids, no dought about it...

If there was one, it will proberly be over-run like the rest of the city." Adam said replying to Johnny's comment. He then turned back to Lily who was focused on the road. "How much fuel in the tank? Don't wanna run out in the middle of theese bastards." Refering to the infected outside.

Jacob looked down for a moment, closing his eyes. He knew what he had to do, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Moving slowly, he pulled his side arm from it's holster and placed it in Marcus' hand. "Blackwater til the grave." Marcus laughed, pain-filled, and lifted the pistol to his chin. "Damn straight, brother." Jacob and the others sighed and started to move forward, trying to triangulate the location of HQ. "Head Quarters should be- *Bang*.... that way."
