McClaine didnt beat him h2h, so that was a h2h loss for McClaine. He killed him, yes, but not h2h.
Thread is h2h. If it is about who kills better by freezing their opponent and WATCHING them drop into giant gear cogs, sure, McClaine prolly wins, but what are the odds of the Riggs/McClaine going froma high rise to a cooling tower? Yup, zero.
Karl? Riggs would have beat him to raw hamburger in 5 minutes. Oh, and Al had to save McClaines bacon from Karl.

He totally ruined Karl and left him hanging.
Im sure if McClane didn't immediately have run upstairs to rescue his wife, he would have been more thorough in making sure he was dead.
When Karl bought out a machine gun, it became a gun fight. Which he lost to Al.
No h2h involved there.
In regards to french Hamster assassin guy, a win is a win.
Without a gun in this case.

You're moving the goal post yet again, a H2H is a H2H, McClaine beat them, it matters not if the final killing move came from a punch to the face or if he slammed their head against a door, it's still H2H.
Let me guess, you'd argue that Bourne couldn't beat Riggs unless he had a pen or or rolled up magazine?
The French dude was an extremely capable H2H combatant; McClaine beat him. The end.
Edit: Riggs probably couldn't beat the Frenchy unless he called in his hero-support Murtaugh.
A win is a win? Is this what you have resorted to? If they had fought to the death h2h, toe to toe, in say, a hallway with no weapons, no SUV's, no helicopters, and no freezie thingies, McClaine would have ben killed. You must know that.

He didnt beat him h2h. The sky is blue. Water is wet. Chill was permabanned. These are facts. The moment McClaine lost his gun and was hanging helpless and frenchy decided to blast him, it became a GUNFIHGT.
It'd be a helluva lot better fight. Riggs would stand a WAY better chance of winning HAND TO HAND than McClaine did.

This started as a great thread.
Then I made the mistake of providing the data and facts that proved that McClane is more favourable in the outcome.
And subsequently, the absolute unwillingness displayed by Rogue Jedi to even think about anything said on the other side of the debate has willfully sucked all the intelligence from the process of debate..
Denial of proven facts and figures in substitution of fantasy stated as fact.
When answers cant be provided, the questioned starts to attack the grammar of the questioner, starts with "thick skull" comments etc..
Typical diversionary tactics that save answering the question. It gets the thread no where and all the cheap insults in the world cannot compensate for not having a point.
However it doesnt stop some from trying anyway, it would seem.
And since its become like the pointless exercise akin to banging your head over and over on a brick wall.
So I'll be saying ta-ta to your thread regardless due to the boredom combined with bias and cheap insults..
Now you can keep it as Riggs biased as you'd like.

As someone said before, the moment Karl picked up a gun it ceased being h2h, it became a gunfight. So...
The moment McClaine got behind the wheel of the SUV the h2h was over.
The moment McClaine was hanging like a puppet and Frenchy picked up a gun, the h2h was over.
The moment McClaine was ***** kicked off the wing of the Jet, the h2h was over.
Clear enough? Just because his opponent/s ended up dead does not mean he beat them h2h.
Riggs lost one time h2h, against Jack Travis. And, if you recall, Travis was "One brutal cop, as tough as they come."
And dont mention the Jet Li fight. Riggs was being choked out, but hey, he was helpless with his shoulder dislocated, and came back and beat the piss outta Jet Li. If Murtaugh had stayed knocked out, who's to say that Riggs wouldn't have came back and won? After all, how many times has Riggs been near death, then came back and whupped ass seconds later?
On a side note, Murtaugh was in Riggs's way the entire fight. Right at the beginning, he pushes Murtaugh out of the way, remember? And when Murtaugh was wrestling Jet Li, Riggs pulled Jet Li away from Murtaugh. It is quite obvious that he wanted to take him on alone. With Murtaugh in the fight, Riggs had to worry about BOTH of their lives.

Yeah, that's why they looked at each other in with that gay-ass look and said something like "shall we do this" when Jet Li was waiting for them down the path? Riggs obviously wanted to fight Li solo, how silly of anyone to think otherwise.
Li was too much for either of them to handle solo, they both knew it, that fight does not go as just a Riggs win. /the end
We dont know for sure what would have happened if Murtaugh had stayed down.
You watch the fight and you tell me when Riggs was facing Jet Li alone whether he was whupping ass or not. Head butt, head butt, head butt, repairs shoulder, wham wham wham, three unanswered ounches, Jet Li was down. And Riggs had plenty more to give.
Let's see, shall we apologize to each other for every insult thrown each others way? You might get writers cramp.

No we don't and it's irrelevant, him staying down could have meant Li killed Riggs or Riggs could have somehow killed him. He did get up and the fight was clearly a joint-effort, so it is what it is. Riggs AND Murtaugh killed Li. End of story.
