EU is basically the things that are not shown on screen in the movies. All of the events within the movie novelizations are, for the most part, exact replicas of the events that transpired within the films. They happen in the same way, have the same outcomes, etc. The only difference is that certain things like the characters' thoughts while everything is happening are shown as well, which takes out a lot of the speculation about fights, for example.
So, that's why. Whereas most EU is about what happens in addition to the events in the movies, the novelizations of the movies themselves follow a parallel path to what's shown on screen.
Thee exception is when there are direct contradictions, for example in the RotS novel Sideous cuts Kit Fitso's head off, and when Anakin rushes into the room the head is on Sideous' desk... which is obviously a direct contradiction of what we see on film.

Still, I do find it a bit silly. Because the parts that aren't mentioned, are still kinda additions, so I am not sure why I should hold them higher...but I guess it's everyone's decision on how to view canon.
Using smilies was just one thing that RJ uses to stir people up. To be aggressive to someone just because they use smilies would be silly - no, this is being oversimplified, perhaps for RJ's benefit.
I'm not insulting anyone in this post, just stating the facts.
RJ often makes statements that are designed to intentionally stir you up. Its like he is just trolling.
For example, in this back and forth of RJ and I in this thread, anyone can see he was clearly wrong (undeniably), but he'll keep coming back with snide retorts irrelevant to the discussion.
Anyway, I'll take people's advice for using ignore. I guess I did have some ego in there as I didn't want someone I know who was wrong and being snide to get away with it.

And as for me being an 'ass" to Imp. Well I guess I was abit too aggressive in my post than I should have been, but that is because I think Imped has made a call (on RJ's side again, which is frustrating) without really following through all the posts. Also he makes a most unfounded claim that I'm always an ass to people, which I don't think anyone has stepped up to concur with that claim.

The 'taking of sides' affair is not a factor in my post, not at all, but rather tired of the same charade of the victim card being used at full benefit and abused. Oh well though, these things happen.
That is exactly what I meant by crossing the line, it's hard at times, I know firsthand.
I'll be 100% honest here. I'll list a few Jedi/Sith and post a short summary of how the fight would go down (IMO, of course):
Sidious: Sidious would immediately go at spidey with force lightning. If Spidey evades, then Sidious would attempt a force hold or choke on spidey, which would likely catch spidey in motion and render him helpless.
Dooku: Same as Sidious, except likely it will be a saber kill.
Maul: Maul, I think he would come at spidey with both blades blazing. Spidey would likely see that going toe to toe with Maul would be foolhardy, and would likely try to web swing to higher ground where he could web Maul up. Maul would maybe catch a web or two ot the torso, slice them away, then use force pull to bring spidey in close for the kill. I think Spideys best chance here is to web Maul then rush in and make it h2h.
Kenobi (ROTS): Kenobi, IMO, has the perfect mix of saber skills and force attacks to keep spidey at bay until Kenobi can dispatch him.
Yoda: Spidey wil never touch Yoda, Yoda is like a leprechaun on pcp.
Luke (ROTJ): Seeing as how Luke isn't fully trained, I think this will be spidey's best chance at victory. Luke will likely fight defensively. Webbing probably wont work on Luke. Spidey would be smart to shoot web attack after web attack at Luke until close enough for h2h.
Anakin (ROTS as a Jedi): From what we see in episode 1-3, Anakin relies more on his skills with a saber than force attacks. Likely he will deflect web attacks left and right, spidey will try to get in close, and this will seal his doom.

Sidious: F**k, Sidious could just throw him into a Force created black hole. Not even comics Spiderman could defend against that. He is also one of the fastest Force sensitives who ever lived, it says so in his wookieepedia article.
Dooku: I will be fair and say I don't know what would happen.
Maul: Spidey beats Maul because he is more intelligent.
Obi Wan: The ROTS novelization takes detailed notice at how quick and efficient he is in combat. Kenobi 7/10
Yoda: See Kenobi, but with an exponentially higher degree of ownage. He could physically lift Pete and just bang him against a jagged cliff for days, and there's nothing he could do about it. But Yoda would never do that because he's nice as well as honorable.
Luke: EU Luke WOULD TOTALLY F**KING DESTROY HIM WITHOUT ANY EFFORT ISSUED. ROTJ Luke? I say a stalemate. Luke was able to fight Vader one on one, that is impressive in itself.
ROTS Anakin: Maybe one of Spideys taunts will distract him. I will say that Spidey wins this one.

Doesn't matter, when someone attacks you, you equal yourself to their level.

Two rule breakers, not just one. Just because you are attacked, defending oneself doesn't grant immunity to say or do whatever you want.
Yeah, but it's very, very hard not to. Like I said before, I've done it many times before. It's just that, when someone calls me a bad name, and I return the favor, both of us get called on it. Which is beyond fair.
Also, I would put RoTS Anakin as better than Vader. My coworker, who is more of a Star Wars nerd than I am, said that GL indicated that Vader has less control over the force because he has less physical matter. He said that he is like..at...80-90% as Cyborg Vader vs. almost full organic vader (as far as control over the force goes).
I've never heard this so I don't know if it's true. But, if it is, it would be cannon and we can consider Cyborg vader to be < missing arm Vader. (The missing Arm Vader is what Anaking was for most of RoTS...he slaughtered all the people of the Jedi temple.)

Yeah, GL, I believe, stated, that he conceived Robo Vader as weaker. Ergo his beaten doggish behaviour towards Palpatine, vs. the "going to kill him and rule my Empire" in ROTS.
