Wait, why isnt force crush Canon? Vader is shown doing it.

Yoda, ROTJ, X wing. Inanimate object, but a force hold is a force hold.

Well isnt this whole argument about animate and inaminate objects? The force works the same on both, mind you.
Think about it, what is a force hold, really?

Also, force pull/push is used by Luke in ESB when retrieving his saber in the wampa cave. And by Obi Wan in the prequel trilogy, and by Anakin in the prequel trilogy.

Dooku holding Obi Wan in a force hold in ROTS versus Yoda using the force to levitate the X Wing from the swamp in ESB. Same thing. Animate Jedi, inaminate X Wing, but basically the same thing.

Person/object, same thing. The same effort is involved, sometimes more if it a larger object/person. Yoda performs a force hold on the X Wing, then moves it from the swamp. He is performing a force hold the entire time.

People and objects are not the same thing. Yoda lifts the X-Wing. If that X-Wing had moved there's no proof that Yoda could have stopped it. Sorry, but you are talking out of your ass, because you love Star Wars.
I'm sorry I missed this post. Yes. Dooku did it to Anankin in Ep II.
Okay..lol. I know exactly what RJ is talking about. He's right. You know he's right. RJ just isn't doing a good job of making his point.
Dooku force held AND force choked Obi Wan in Ep. III. He is a Sith, though. So I'm not sure if you or someone else were making it a point to show that now Jedi would ever do that. If you were, then I would agree...accept for Anakin.
I'm sure it would take more energy and concentration to snatch up a force user who is doing that force run thing. If two Jedi were fighting over a large object with force hold/move thingie, I'm sure that it would be very difficult to move for either until the one with the stronger control over the force won.
OK lets say Sara weighs 100 pounds. You can surely lift her over your head, right? Well, lets say that there is an object in the corner that also weighs 100 pounds. Which will be easier to lift? Sara or the object?

For argument's sake, they are the same, or very close.

No, I truly think he isn't. I am convinced that a force hold is a dark side power, that Jedi don't or can't use. I am also pretty much sure that the force works different on animate beings and inanimate objects. It already works different amongst humans based on will...
I know I can't prove that. Except for the last thing. But RJ can not prove that there is anything like a force hold that Jedi can do, and he also can't prove that Spider - Man's strength and will would not be a counter to the force attacks he might be subjected to.

It's not the same thing though. For a force hold, you have to make the person absolutely static (Spidey couldn't move his hand, couldn't eject his web), with an inanimate object you don't have that trouble. It stays together by itself and doesn't move (beyond what it does due to gravity).
The only force power that works different on humans based on will is the mind trick.
HOW did Yoda lift the X Wing from the swamp? He reached out and FORCE HELD it. Then he moved it. Easy cheesy. If Yoda can do that with an X Wing, force holding spidey will be as easy as passing gas.

Never mind, I just compared this universe to the SW universe......jeez.

I am being objective. I just think that someone implying that physical strength can overcome the force is just silly. It's not like I take a stance on SW characters winning all the time and never change my mind.
