WHOA!! this forum is hot! lol. Man there's a lot of back and forth on this movie.
I gotta say tho the movie was ok. it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great neither. I like the comic book better. and after reading this forum, i want to give my review of this forum:
i gotta agree with the people who don't like it.
-Menetnashté had some good points about what made the movie good
-Jcvaldez also some good points about what made the movie bad
made some good points.
-tofu king got it on the money with his review.
-snake eyes doesn't know what the hell he's talking about
-Kovacs86 didn't make any sense
-Darth Jello went way to deep into the movie, Don't take it so seriously!
-The Grey Fox had nothing interesting to say
-Nephthys is completely wrong
everybody else made good points and honest opinions. My review of this forum is 8/10. Great forum! I love this site!
Saw the movie for the first time last night. I thought it was solid, exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed almost every minute of it. I liked that it was faithful to the comic. A lot of stuff got left out but I was prepared for that, cant expect to fit all of the dense literary elements and layers from the comic into a 2.5 hour movie. Good movie overall, definitely worth the theater ticket. Props to them for living up to the intense hype and not letting us Watchmen fanboys down.
It doesn't matter. The title Watchmen shouldn't be mentioned in anything other than the wall graffiti. Making it the name of the group is not only idiotic, but utterly defeats the purpose.

Am I the only one who either doesn't care or finds the apparent level of symbolism and metaphors unnecessary? The deeper I hear people go with it the more the story turns into an overdecorated Christmas tree to me.
Eunno, maybe the Mr. Parkers of Watchmen are getting to me.

I just hate that people either have no attention span or for some reason treat this like a bigger tragedy than league of extraordinary gentlemen or daredevil

EDIT: Jesus Christ though, I'm watching some of the outrage on Youtube that the ending was changed and They're so f*cking pissed off it's stupid. I just want to shake them and say,'Yo what's the big f*cking deal b*tch? It's still the same message, its still the same from the book, it's just that this ending makes sense' My God these fanboys piss me off.
