You have, members opting out to make respect threads else where and simply linking them to those sites. As for me, I create it else where until its good enough to bring here with little modifications.

Now if versus shut down. What to keep members that post feats for debative purpose keep their thread well their?
Nothing has to be considered. This isn't really a debate on whether the vs forum should be closed. It's really a matter of the vs forum being worth the hassles, reports, trolls, socks, etc.

The respect forum is great, but not a big enough part of KMC to bear any weight for the vs forum getting closed. The respect forum will stay open and people can still post.

I am all for another mod but...would another mod really help that much when theres a slow process ahead of them? Mods still have to ask to perm/temp banned someone. If Bada and if PR is around still than I think they should be promoted to global. This way they wouldnt have to wait for a slow process and they can act when needed and get results. Digi, Pr and Bada has front line experience on what happends in this forum.

Funny I am not in a debative mood. Simply weighing in cause and effect.

Here is a 3rd question, this section shows heavy traffic and vast population. What does this forum gain, from having a large number of individuals come in to post daily basis?

Ah that’s the sentiment. Lose traffic, and you lose dinero.

yeah, most websites determine their success by how much traffic they can generate consistently

Of course feats are the way to go,how else are we suppose to gauge the characters abilities. We assume all characters will be in top physical form, were not going to assume characters will suddenly "forget"how to use there powers lol.

Staff members are well aware, that this section is one of the biggest draws that generates founds for the forum. However forum policy is having a problem with versus section, because an aggressive section such as this one, induces a member to lash out.

Its not the members that need to change. it’s the forum policy, no matter how hard you try. The nature of this section will never change. There for, the section should be trashed.

Who cares, if the forum losses money. Its not like any of the staff members are receiving pay checks for your services. And there are other, sites that can replace versus.

Except some people don't consider herochat as a viable option and actually enjoy the debating style here which IMO is the best overall comic board u can find.

My point was you should use their feats + listed power sets + average showing. Using some amazing feat that was just written in to make the story isn't a good way unless they use it ALL the time. People are all about using top feats and say things should fight at full power. If that were the case in all debates involving speedsters, invisible people, matter maniuplators, or people who can fire destructive things long distances, would be a lot shorter. However this seems a little off-topic of this thread :-P

That's why the rules stipulate full capcity friend smile, were not debating how the characters would fight in a comic were debating how the characters would fight on there best day.

As a comic versus. Yeah, but limiting.

The other day, I had the urge of posting Freddy vs. Darth Vader.

Just cant make those kinds of match ups here.

I like the fact that it only focuses on a single genre, I hate how random some other forums become with"monster from jeepers creepers vs villian from house on hunted hill"...its just really lame.

What you all don't realize is that a few of us (mods) were pushing for a Tourny/Battlezone sub-forum and and off site anything vs forum. We changed the format here a bit to loosen things up and called for people to use the ignore. The sad truth is this is on all the posters who refused to take responsibility for their own behavior.

Complaining about this rule, that rule and blaming others isn't helping. It's not a difficult request to not say 3-4 curse words, not troll, bash or flame and to back claims with proof. The rules have been in effect for years and won't change because there are people who can't discuss fictional characters in a semi-rational manner. For all the griping, there are still several hundred posts to over a thousand posts per day in the Comic Vs Forum. So yeah, if this forum stays open there won't be any heavy modifications of the rules or format.

There are forums where it's a free for all with no rules. There are also pro Marvel and pro DC boards where nobody will call people on BS as long as it's in favor of the favored company.
