There will always be trolls and problem makers..... Shuting down the Vs Section because of some idiots who can't be controlled anyway is a bad idea.
and people have to remember this is just the internet no need to go apeshit and report everything
I say if they want to shut it down because it's to hard to manage----- Than do it ............hoping that trolling , socks etc will stop is wishful thinking especially in a controversial section like this.
I lurked here for two years before I found the balls to post. When I did, I overused the report button because I didn't understand the headache it caused the mods. Perhaps the problem is that. A large percentage of new members on KMC break their teeth at the Vs. boards, and then learn how to act appropriately on the rest of the site. If this board was eliminated, I say it would be like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Plus, I'd miss Quanch explaining how thanos would kill Jesus.

but remember if it does get closed i will remember you guys forever you have been the best friends a guy could ever have online. exept for some of the chicks off of myspace i talk to but still yall are just as important well almost as important as the myspace chicks but your at that level. and the mods have worked really hard at keeping it going here.
yeah i know it gets a little frustrating when they close one of your threads but if they didnt do their job they would get banned probably. i dont like when they close mine but thats life.
I've suggested a few names for mod consideration, as well as bounced a few ideas off of everyone that people have come up with for regulating the forums in a better manner.
As of now, the official plan is still to close the forum in the near future. The suggestions are simply an attempt to stave off that eventuality. But I don't want to plant false hope, so take it for what it is: a possible solution, but not an approved course of action as of right now.
Among the names mentioned or nominated in here (delph, guy, leo, Starscream, etc.) I've passed along some of them, as well as a few others. Thanks for the suggestions.
Closing the forums down will solve the problem, but at what cost. I suggest that the mods would make something which prevents people from post so small posts, and frequent posting.
Trolls, and spammers will always be in forums. You can't get rid of it, only reduce it.
taking the report button away from people with under a certain amount of posts would do it. Unless the problem runs deeper. If that's the case, permanent bans to longtime members, like they did on herochat back when. If you don't think that will work, shut it down immediately, don't delay. That's what the concensus is, so do it. Unless you lack the balls.
This is a decent solution to ensure that people can actually debate when they choose to chip in with their opinions. Give posts a minimum amount of words requirement, like they do on some game faq review sections on some sites.
