also, guys, keep the accusations out of the thread. you want to talk about the state of the forum, then do so. this isn't an excuse to take shots at each other.
1. I seriously doubt that anyone with a history of warnings and/or bannings will be considered for modship. They would have had to have shown that those days are long behind them, and that they can be trusted.
2. Honestly. i'm not sure i disagree with the forum being closed down. While i have always disagreed with the assessment from most mods that this forum is little more than a forum toilet, even defending it at times, there comes a point where one has to wonder if its just worth it anymore, if the effort a mod puts in to this forum is worth it. i don't want the forum to be closed, personally, but my willingness to put in as much effort defending it has diminished somewhat.
when i first started, i told myself that i could do some good. that i could help. yet here we are, what, a year and a half later, and the same shit is going on? is it the fault of the globals? the normal mods? or the members themselves? i'm sure there's enough blame to go around, but i doubt that any one group can claim to be completely innocent.
if there was a way to save this forum, you can all be assured that i'll be right there doing my best to keep it open. whether that's possible, or whether it's truly worth the trouble, is another matter entirely...
Well let's be fair the most blame would be with the members that post here.
The mods in the vs forum are not to blame iff you ask me, heck you guy's did a great job.
I say the mods in the vs forum because I don't know the mods from the other forum sections.
So how much time do we have left here???
And this might be a stupid question and very obvious but will the whole comic book section get closed or only the vs section of this forum????
Would be a shame to lose all those respect threads.
The problem is people get heated sometimes defending their more favorite characters. And there's some people that go around purposely trying to provoke these kinds of reactions from people.

I don't see why this forum is being closed, I guess I've been to worse forums than this, where all kinds of spamming and trolling was tolerated (until posters got too repetitive, then they were banned).

That will never change imo. People need to relax and debate. Might be too late for this place and then again maybe it isn't. Let's be on our best behavior and not fall back into bad habits. The posters here are rallying and maybe if they see we can change then they will keep it open.
There is absolutely no chance if we start bashing each other and reporting each other while pointing the fingers at certain posters or groups.

I wonder if certain methods of helping are what is wanted!...lets say the mods vote on if the versus forum stays or goes?...or does the administrater have the say in the end?...we know if any one mod had a say..it would be closed....and vice versa...i wonder what are the motions that will determine the out come of the versus forum.
What was the deciding factor...was it a majority vote? does a global mods vote count as more than lets say a normal mod...does it matter in the end..if the administrater says it stays?
Lets say i am the administrater...and i say the vesus forum stays.....what would be the end result? would the mods be forced to work with it?...or leave if they dont like it?
Do the mods pm the administrater asking for it to be closed...because of all of the reports/problems?
I find the same thoughts about the posters...if every mod was a global mod...and banned anyone without needing any say from other mods...would it not fall to the posters to say...i dont like this..i am leaving?
I do find it odd that the versus forum being closed is even an option to tell you the truth....i see it as cut and dry...if the administer wants it..it stays....if not..then it goes.
