badabing, pr, and digi are great mods, they probably have to send all those annoying reports to the globals (who rather cut the cancer than cure it), if anyone should be mad, it should be the local mods.
personally, i've made like 5 reports maximum from the time i've signed up, but the reports on me....most likely more numerous. :shrugs:
but ironically, the posters that would most likely make reports against me (if this theory is true) are socks. so imo, if my reports were heeded by the globals the first time, than not only would the socks be gone (which takes care of flaming and such), but also more reports about those socks would be gone as well.
so i blame the globals and the socks since they sit at both ends of the spectrum of the versus thread's problems. socks make the glabals mad, they close the thread that denies the socks.... they BOTH win.

Is there a chance to add another person to the council glob mods?? I know we have Digi who is the most active from here counting REX even Tron. If we could have you or Raoul join them and enforce the rules a little more, more like CBR but not to much as I think they are somewhat extreme at it, tho I can see why they have the most people next to KMC. When Digi said something everyone usually listened and now they think he doesn't watch, isn't true.

^Co-signed. It's well known (and if it wasn't, one need only read the commentary the mods attached in Bada's announcement), that most of the other mods hate vs in general. And among certain posters, the feeling is mutual.
The other problem, is having mods who don't know the vs mediums they are modding. It should be a requirement that mods should have to know anime, video games, comics, etc. Big ups to Bada and Raoul for actually knowing comics, doing their best, and at least trying to learn about the topics they don't know.

We (mods) know most of the socks even w/o checking. Sometimes we let things play out if we can't actually prove it's a sock account. But we don't go out of our way to check every new member or a poster who posts similarly to a banned member. We also don't auto-ban people because people call them out as a sock. We ban the obvious socks and trolls.
The main problem is that people get too wound up and are too quick to bash and flame. It's obvious that there are pro Marvel posters and pro DC posters. If you can't convince a fanboy that their character will lose then it's best to agree to disagree. If you can't get along with a poster then it's best to use the ignore.
I'm happy that "one of us" was made a global in Digi. He's helped in the Vs Forum before he was a global when he wasn't even a mod here. Rex is more of a Star Wars guy but he knows enough about comics to realize a spite thread or when someone is posting BS as he called out Galen about BP using the armbar on SS. Rex may not be an active poster here but he checks the reports and will help me and Raoul whenever we ask.
Basically 90% of the posters are not a problem. We have certain trolls who go out of their way to cause problems. And we also have posters who can't get along with each other who refuse to use the ignore. Others just get too wound up if someone makes and off handed comment in jest or posts off topic once in a while. I get reports because someone posts Superman wins or Hulk wins.
so why don't we just ban the posters who abuse the report button instead...I would say that would solve 60% of the problem
you know how sometimes you have to close a thread because it gets too many reports? I never understood why the people who were constantly reporting didn't just ignore the thread...no one's forcing them to read it.
