Actually "real communism has never been tried" is a talking point from commies like Antifa, etc.
The socialism talking point is usually to go "lots of places have socialism!" while ignoring these social programs are only possible because of a mixed economy. The argument is so silly it's why Denmark told Bernie Sanders to stfu and stop using them as an example of some socialist success story.
