Haha, I feel bad cuz it feels like it started when I told ACDC to stop butchering my language, and then TGF made a zinger, and it started there.

No, you're wrong, that's my point! Both German and English originated from this West Germanic language. We got it from Germanics, not Germans, they are very different things.
"The Germanic languages are a group of related languages that constitute a branch of the Indo-European (IE) language family. The common ancestor of all the languages in this branch is Proto-Germanic, spoken in approximately the mid-1st millennium BC in Iron Age northern Europe. Proto-Germanic, along with all of its descendants, is characterized by a number of unique linguistic features, most famously the consonant change known as Grimm's law. Early varieties of Germanic enter history with the Germanic peoples settled in northern Europe along the borders of the Roman Empire in the second century BC.
The most widely spoken Germanic languages are English and German," etc.
We didn't get it from the Germans.

They are germans if they are germanic. Which goes back to my argument of "you are an[insert something from your past here]" Its still true in a sense.

if you are born in one country then immigrate to another and adopt its culture as your own do you not become one of them?

They aren't germans if they're Germanic, though. The only similarity is in the name. My name is 'Ami', which is French for friend, and the only similarity there is in the name. A name is not everything.
Germans are as much Germanic as the English or Dutch. The page on wikipedia explained that.

I don't have a problem with languages. None are 100% perfect, because the perfect language in my opinion would be a universal language. I don't like people around here speaking Spanglish. That shit is annoying, nor am I fond of people who pretend to know other languages but fail epically due to their sentence structure. I had to learn English, it wasn't my first language, and I still struggle with it at times, but I know it's hard to learn a new language, so to see someone not do a language justice is lame.

What about during the winter time when the sun is cold.

Yeah but many peoplw will still ask you what nationality you are. I'd say im Irish. See that, people do it every day, and they say it in the present tense. Not i was irish once.

Which people fail at already. We can't speak numbers, as much as some people think they can, it isn't the same as a spoken language. Numerical language sucks.

Yeah, I totally agree with that. I can somewhat speak French, Spanish and German myself but I choose not to since it's so disjointed that it'd just make me seem stupid, really.
