He works part time at one of those places that is essentially a giant freezer. These are the places frozen food is dropped off/picked up by semi trucks after being driven across the country. I have worked in similar places myself in the past, but this particular district of warehouses are in a bad neighborhood.
There is an ongoing manhunt, apparently two cops were shot, but are expected to live.
