Bungie's goodbye letter:
Thank you for making our 20th Anniversary, and this year's Bungie Day, kick so much ass. As we prepare to become fans of the universe our studio began creating more than ten years ago, it's nice to know that we'll be counted among such esteemed company. Some might consider the upcoming transition a bittersweet occasion punctuated by a sense of loss and sadness. We feel otherwise. Halo is in great hands…yours.
These last two weeks have been a celebration for us – a reminder of just why these last two decades have been so uniquely special for Bungie. More than ever we are humbled by your dedication and your loyalty (and now, even by your Halo: Reach skills…ouch). To date, you’ve helped us raise a mountain of money for charity and we're still going strong. Items can still be purchased through the Bungie Store and Xbox LIVE Avatar items can still be purchased on the Xbox Marketplace through September.
While all profits from your generous purchases of Bungie 20th Anniversary swag and commemorative items are being donated to charity through the Bungie Foundation, for us the Blue Flames, the studio memorabilia, and even the swag from our own desks and filing cabinets were all part of a long overdue symbolic gesture. Halo is yours now. In many ways, it always has been. Its new caretakers will strive, just as we did, to be worthy stewards but you have the package. Hold these characters and stories and worlds to the same unflinching standards you did while we were at the helm, but allow them all to blossom and change and grow in the ways that they must.
We'll be undergoing a metamorphosis of our own. Very soon Bungie.net will change, culminating with the launch of our next universe at some unknown time in the future. The first small steps will be taken soon, with Halo playlist management changing hands on August 2nd, the very same day we plan to deploy our parting thoughts on the last twenty years through a ViDoc titled, "O Brave New Worlds."
Afterwards, we'll be going dark on our studio’s next major endeavor – the creation of a brand new universe. You'll still have a home here should you choose to stay, but our next project demands an unwavering focus. We owe it to ourselves to make something better than we ever have before. We owe it to you, as well.
So, this isn't a goodbye. It isn't The End. Instead, it's the very beginning of a new journey that will stretch the limits of what we are capable of. Ancient engines are now rumbling deep within the heart of our studio, and their energy will power us through the upcoming darkness. Like all dark times ours will be broken first by a single strand of light – a tether reaching out to bind us all together again. One day, we will awaken in a wondrous new place and we will remember just what it was that drew us together at the beginning of it all. We will look up to the heavens, and find hope.
Thank you for everything.
See you starside.

Yep. They are the ones who worked on the Defiant map pack and will handle everything Halo related from now on, including Halo anniversary. I just hope they continue to do a good job and are as close to their fanbase as Bungie. They are an example of hos vg companies should handle their fans/customers
Oh, I see.. Didn't realize they were the ones who did the Defiant pack. Am sure they should do all right with the series then, but only time will tell.

Who the forge at Bungie or 343 Industries thought it was a good idea to change the Paradiso map? They need to bring back the Scorpion tanks and put the Banshee and the sniper rifle back on both sides

I am more pissed with being lost in all of these ****ing forge maps. I stop playing for a month or two and all of a sudden I have no idea wtf I'm voting for.

Just new forge maps added to playlists that weren't in them(like trident) Sucks when you have no idea of the map's layout. Say wanna play some Reach? Im a bit rusty but I'll manage.

Just found out Instict went on a record 21-0 streak in MLG Anaheim. Impressive. Of course the legendary Ogre 2 has to be on the team. That guy IS Halo.

I don't know about you guys but to me, Reach is now starting to feel a bit dull. There are some things 343 needs to add. We need more map packs, music to be played in the background in each multiplayer match (preferably the one that's played at the beginning of the Long Night of Solace level), and maybe some more helmets and armor pieces to unlock when we reach ranks like Legend or Forerunner since I now fail to see why I should continue moving up when there's currently nothing being offered other than the amount of left over credits I'll receive when I purchase all the items that I haven't bothered to buy yet since they're rubbish. After getting those, what else will there be? Nothing can be more horrendous than receiving a lot of money and not being able to spend it.

This update will shut up a lot of haters. Yay for bloom removal. Wonder who the hell will choose to play with it or if it will just be a different playlist. A pistol buff bringing it closer to Halo 1 madness?

I don't know, I hated Halo reach. No dual wielding? it's like they forced you to be great with sniper and battle rifles. Plus, after playing COD and Bad company, the gameplay felt kinda slow. maybe the remake of the original will bring back some fonder memories.

Halo IS slower than CoD and I like it that way. However I don't like how armor abilities like Armor Lock and the Bubble Shield slow it even more. Doesn't help the fact Bloom makes it annoying to finish someone off. Sprint and Evade on the other hand are awesome because they speed up the gameplay(although Evade is the most overpowered AA)
I don't mind the removal of dual wielding. If you were good with a BR/Sniper/Shotty/whatever there was no point in dual wielding. In fact I'd say only noobs used it in Halo 2/3. Still I think they should have left it in because it adds variety to the meta game.
Although I don't necessarily consider camping and sniping to be more skilled than dual wielding, but again, to each his own. They are allowing it again in the original Halo remake right? If not, I'll probably pass.
