I am sorry to hear that, Dexx... though it's not actually a very complex set of affairs... Malbeth named Arvedui 'Last King' at birth and Malbeth is never wrong. You understand why that might worry people!

Talin overhears the conversation about Cardolan and takes his leave of Gorlim.
"You seem to harp on the Elves," Talin says to Lord Morsire, entering the conversation. He then turns to Prince Elendur. "And Cardolan may be lost, but there are still numerous Cardolani camps that are trying to reach Arthedain. If you could send out small ammounts of your soldiers to help those camps get to Arthedain, where they would be protected, then they would be deeply grateful. They'd still be angered by the fact that you abandoned them."

I knew who you were talking about, Rex... I just thought Numenor;s past was worth pointing out.
"Then angry they will have to be," says Morsire. "The Witch-King's OBJECTIVE is the elimination of our armies. Any force we send into Cardolan will only draw ruin on those you want to protect. They stand a better chance as it stands.
"And in any case, we can spare NO MEN. If a man can fight, he is needed on the lines. Sending them to Cardolan is an utter waste. There is nothing to be done for them, Dwarf."
"Help from Imladris would indeed be appreciated," says Elendur. "The only reason the Witch King is moving at all is because your watch on Angmar has ceased."
"If your implication," says Aranarth, "is that we have abandoned Cardolan for selfish purposes... I can only assure you that nothing is further from the truth. If we had the power, if we had ANY option at all, we would move to save at least some of those people. But Morsire is right. We need our men on the lines oppoising the Witch-King. Unless any forces of the Witch-King actually ENTER Cardolan there is no practical way for us to oppose him there and opposing the Witch-King is all that matters. The only selfish ones are those from the part of Cardolan that remains intact yet does not help it's own."
Again, you are confused by their apparent denial that he has forces there...
