If what I gather from the "Strange vs Thanos" thread is accurate, Strange has stated that thanos is greater and he'd need Silver Surfer's help to take him on.

But other than answering that question, I'm just here to learn more about it myself.

This is not Thanos, but "Warrior", a clone of Thanos mixed with Gladiator's genes

Yes and so the Real Thanos would do better?

Strange has admitted he's not in Thanos league so people saying he'll solo is kinda silly. Strange is a walking Plot device and yes he is the key to victory but saying that is a given... amusing.
